"Hey, I appreciate you taking me home" I said to Elijah a little nervous.

"Of course. It was my pleasure" his grands still gripping onto the steering wheels. His knuckles turned white and his hands were veiny. I was already falling in love.

"Good luck" he tells me, as I get out the car. I turn around and close his car door quietly without really slamming it.

"Thanks" I nervously chuckle. "I'll need it"

The door squeaks when I push it open, but hopefully not loud enough to wake anybody up. I tip toe quietly to my room and shut the door. The pillows were still under my covers. I sigh with relief.

I took my dress off and hung it up in my closet. Then put my pjs on and got into bed, placing the pillows back in place.

~Morning~

"Good morning, pumpkin" my mother said. Everything seemed so blurry and her voice was deepened. I know it was just a hangover and everything seemed so weird. I felt lightheaded and grabbed ahold of my head.

"You okay, honey?" My mother asked me walking over to me, placing a hand on my shoulder.

"I'm fine. Didn't get much sleep last night. That's all"

"Have a seat. Breakfast will be ready shortly" I thanked her and took a seat at the table.

"Are you sure sweetie?" My mom asked me placing a plate with food on the table.

"I'm fine, mom" I say rubbing my eyes. This was the worst hangover ever. She offered me some water and I took a few sips. It definitely made my throat less dry.

Without getting my mom getting too suspicious, I ate as fast as I could and got ready for school.

Since I take the bus I had to walk to the bus stop. It's a 5 minute walk but the weather was decent and wasn't too bad. As I walked I noticed a grey car pulling up behind me.

My eye peered behind my without my head turning. I felt a bit nervous and my heart pounded.

"Need a ride?" I heard a familiar voice say. It was Elijah. My head turned and I saw him in the car. Oh god, he looked so good.

Black curly hair, hand on the side of the car hanging off, looking at me. Now my heart was really pounding but only because of his hood looking presence.

"Nah, I'm okay. I'm just walking to the bus stop"
I say back. He shakes his head.

"Get in the car. Let me drive you to school mamas"

Him calling me that made me get butterflies and made my heart flutter. No guy had ever called me that before, and I was certainly comfortable with that.

I opened the door to his car and got in, placing my backpack on the floor for now until the two of us arrived at school.

"So what did you think of the party?" Elijah asked me, making conversation.

"It wasn't too bad. I was definitely nervous though. That was my first time ever going to a party" I chuckle and so does he, hand still on the steering wheel, eyes on the road still.

"You should come to more parties. There's one everyday. I wouldn't mind taking you to some"

I blushed at his words. Everything he said, he said with such a sweet tone and it soothed my ears. I absolutely loved it.

We arrive at the school within minutes and I take my backpack, opening the car door.

"Thanks for the ride" I say shutting his car door.

"It was my pleasure" he smiles. He wraps his arm around my shoulder and we walk to the school entrance.

He opens the school doors, arm still around my shoulder. Everyone's eyes stare at us and I felt a bit nervous and awkward. Why were they just staring?

Scarlett and Summer make their way over to us. Scarlett places a hand on her hip.

"Since when did you two become a thing?" Scarlett asked, squinting her eyes. Why was she acting like this? Did she like Elijah? I don't blame her.

"She's just my best friend, Scarlett. Chill" his arm drops and he crosses his arms.

Best friends? We just met.

Summer gave me a look and motioned for me to come and follow her. Scarlett left and I went to follow Summer.

"What are you doing with Elijah?" She asks me in a hushed voice.

"He offered me a ride as I was walking to my bus stop."

"So I've noticed. You weren't on the bus this morning. You're getting yourself in some serious trouble"

Me and Summer were on the same bus. Bus 30 and I guess she did notice that I didn't get on this morning.

"Sounds like someone is a little jealous. I saw the way you and Scarlett glared at us"

"Jealous?" Summer scoffs. Me and Summer have been best friends since we were 11. We shared everything together. Clothes, makeup, secrets, etc.

Did she and Scarlett secretly have a crush on Elijah though? What if they want him all do themselves? I can totally see that. It's the type of person summer is.

Summer dragged me to a janitors office and we talked in hushed voices. We were suppose to be in class but she dragged me in here to talk about some boy.
