Elijah povs
School is ending within a few months. And I want to make those last few months with my girlfriend Abigail. It's been a week since I've last seen her and it kills me that I can't. Knowing I can't just walk over there and being with her.
Why can't I see her, you may wonder? It's her parents. Their always at home and it's so risky to just walk to her house and having her parents barge in and seeing the two of us.
It's mostly for Abigail's safety that I'm doing this. I respect the fact that she has strict parents. I have the type of parents that are always out partying and drinking, hanging out with her high school buddies from like 20+ years ago.
Since Abigail's parents are so strict, it also prevents her from coming to my own home. I would love if she did, truly. But her parents worry to much about the world and how it is. I can't blame them. I couldn't ever imagine losing Abigail and living life without her.
Tonight I'm saying fuck it. I know that Abigail has snuck out the house before so I'm texting her asking if she can come and meet me by the park.
~ 20 minutes later ~
She'll be here. Her home isn't that far and I can see her in the distance. I smile. Finally I get to see my beautiful baby.
Abigail's pov
Receiving the text from Elijah asking him to meet out by the park did make me nervous. I wasn't going to stand him up though and leave him waiting in the breezy cool night.
I arrive and see him the distance. He's sitting on a park bench and looking at his phone. My footsteps aren't loud so they don't seem to startle him and cause him to look around.
I'm now closer to him and he looks up at me.
"Hi, baby" he says standing up, hugging me.
"Hey" I whisper. "Why did you want too meet?"
"Because I wanted too see you. It's been a week since we last saw each other"
I frown. I won't lie and say I didn't miss him because being with him is all I ever want.
"Come. Let's look at the stars" he suggest. Taking his hand in mine, he leads me towards the middle of the park, where all the stars are gathered up, twinkling in the night.
"It's beautiful" I say to him. He nods and looks in my direction.
"Just like you"
His words made my face flush and get butterflies. He never failed to do that at all. How could Ashley ever leave him for someone else? Elijah's all a girl could ever want. And I know it's safe too say that I'm the luckiest girl right now.
We both lay down together on the group, looking up at the starry night.
Trees were around us and we laid on the soft floor away from the concrete and enjoying each other's company.
We talked for an hour and I was started to think about home and my parents. Surely they would check up on me but if they did they would've texted me. I honestly can't believe I'm even out here with my boyfriend, surrounded by nature.
"That one looks like a heart doesn't it?" I say to him, pointing out the star shaped like a heart.
His arm was behind his head, resting. And he looks to where I'm pointing. I turn my head towards him and see him side. He then looks at me.
"Maybe it's a sign that we're meant to be together" he replies after a minute. I giggle.
"Yeah, maybe"
"Want me to walk you home?" Elijah offers.
"You sure? It's kind of chilly and you'll be walking all by yourself"
"You have nothing to worry about sweetheart. I'll text you when I'm home"
"Promise me. You know I worry about you"
"I promise" and he intertwines his pinkie with mine. I kiss him on the cheek and he walks me home. Something tells me that something is very wrong, a gut feeling. But I brush it off and ignore it.
"Why don't you stay at my place?" I suggest.
"And have you're parents catch us? It's okay baby" he says taking my hand in his. Holding hands with him always made me feel calm.
The breeze flowed through my hair, leaving the cold breeze brush against my neck, sending chills to my spine.
"You look cold baby, here take my jacket" Elijah says. He lets go of my hand and removes his jacket.
"I'm fine, babe. Really. Keep it I want you to be warm"
He smiles warmly at me but continues to wrap it around me anyways"
I really was the luckiest girl in the world.
