Forest Trap: Way back home III
PRAIREI
I silently gave him a death glare. He's scaring me again and as if I would believe him. But he actually has a point. I should respect the skeleton. When he glanced at me, I immediately avoided my gaze from him. I pretended like I'm not staring at him minutes later.
"You may eat now," he started. I looked at the seafood. I gulped when I took one. "What?"
"Safe ba ito? You know, it came from Dark sea."
He stared at me then his eyes became dead. "I cannot put you in danger," iyon lang ang sinabi niya saka tumayo. Gamit ang isang daliri niya at ang hintuturo niyang daliri, kinuha niya ang seafood.
"Teka!" He was about to eat but I interrupted.
"What?" Anong what na naman. Kakain siya na walang tubig? Nagpapatawa ba ang lalaking ito? We can't drink seawater. It can damage our kidney.
"May tubig ka? Kakain ka na lang?" He carefully placed back the seafood. I actually imagined him as old Hidre.
"There's a river nearby. You'll come with me later." Then he ignored me again when he answered my question.
Honestly, the food is good. I don't know that even the sea is hiding dark mistery, there are still treasures hidden inside.
I remembered, his eyes were color gray. The right one is intense gray and the left wasn't. But his left eye right now became black. His expression changed and he stood up as if he sensed something or someone outside of our temporary house.
I got alarmed when he formed an ice spike on his palm; the cold, small black mist had emerged from his pale palm and it just turned into long ice spike that looks like deadly if you look at it.
"Sapien?" I asked.
He looked at me. "No," he answered. "This is more likely an animal." Is he expecting someone to come here? I don't know what he's hiding but I still don't trust him. Fifty percent, I think.
I stepped backwards when the small echoes turned into large footsteps. Its shoes stepped inside the cave and all I could see now is a shadow of a human and it walk closely to our direction.
Hidre abruptly used his black fire around the ground of the cave. He just tapped the ground by his left shoe and when his black sensitive shoe touched the ground, his fire lit up on the ground. I saw again the intense green light of his black fire. If I were really describe it, it's like a wizard's magic. His fire is beautiful but dangerous. To my surprise, I saw the bandages started to wrap his hands and arms.
