Chapter 25

Notch's POV

I sat looking over paperwork sitting on my desk in my office, nothing but information from various lieutenants about soldiers that had passed away. I sighed loudly to the empty room I was in and sat back in my chair moving my head to face the ceiling, while rubbing the bridge of my nose. As much as I would have liked for Herobrine to stay unconscious forever that's not the plan, it does give me a better understanding of Y/n however. I now know that she has a connection to that valley and may just be the person I need to beat my little brother.

I looked at the time and saw it was almost dawn, the next steps of my plan were going to take place in a few hours. I knew what I was playing at, do you really think I would have let them wake him up if I wanted him gone so bad. No, I need him alive... for now. Just long enough to see if my theories are correct.

Herobrine's POV

All of us were in my office, Notch, Entity and I gathered Y/n, Amy and Ellie as soon as I told them what Notch wanted. We were split between going and not going. I knew what my brother was playing at and whatever he wanted would not end well.

"So what are we gonna do?" asked Ellie.

"Well we can't meet Notch that's for sure, look at what just happened!" Said Entity.

He was right I couldn't risk getting hurt again, or worse I couldn't risk any of them getting hurt.

"But if we don't he's just going to find a way to meet us and it will probably be another invasion on the Nether" said Null.

Now I was conflicted I didn't want any of the others to get hurt but my people need protected, and if they get hurts because of a stupid meeting I wouldn't know what I'd do.

"Null's right" we all turned our heads towards Y/n, "Notch isn't going to stop until he gets what he wants. We may need to go." She said cautiously.

We all thought for a minute and then they all looked at me to make the decision.

"We need to go.I'm not really happy about it but we can't put the live of the people of the Nether at risk." I said to them.

They all nodded in response.

"We need to be smarter this time, no doubt Notch will only have Steve and Alex there with him, so we'll have him out numbered. But we still need to be vigilant and cautious. He has something planned and like always... it's not good." I said with a sigh.

{Time skip}

Y/n POV

We all stood in front of Notch, Steve and Alex by the border. Herobrine was right about Notch only bringing his 1st and 2nd in command.

"Why hello little brother, so glad you were awake to join us" Notch said with a cocky smirk.

"Shut your mouth Notch and tell us what you want!" Herobrine said beside me.

Notch looked at all of us and then said, "We're gonna have a little fun, a little fight between all of us"

Steve and Alex seemed to look at each other with a worried look then looked at me.

Somethings going to happen and it has something to do with me, I just know it. I need to extra careful.

"Is that your answer to everything Notch a little fight, when you don't win one you just immediately want another one?" Entity said

"And you out numbered", said Null.

Notch got into another fighting stance position and said, "We'll see about that"

All of us readied for the fight ahead and soon enough swords were clashing.

One after the other we blocked Notch, Steve and Alex's swords, this went on for some time until Herobrine de-armed Notch, his sword against his neck, Notch raised his arms in surrender. We surrounded Steve and Alex as they dropped their weapons and raised their arms like Notch.

Something wasn't right, this was way too easy, he's making it too easy.

"What are you doing Notch?" Herobrine asked a hit of confusion and frustration in his tone.

"Just having a little fun Herobrine" he said with another cocky smirk.

Herobrine now looked at Notch with an annoyed expression, his sword not wavering from Notch's neck.

"You just really love fights Notch don't you Notch, you just can't give us a break! What even is the point of this?" Entity said.

"Well... there is a point." He said

We all looked at him nervously as he continued.

"But it's more of... of a distraction"

Just then we heard a pierce along with a scream, we all turned around and saw Ellie standing in front of a soldier we didn't realise was there. The soldier removed their sword from her abdomen and Ellie fell to the ground, gasping.

We all ran to her aid, Entity knelt down beside her taking his cloak and applying pressure to her wound.

"No. No. No. It's okay. Ellie, it's gonna be... you're gonna be okay" he said but it seemed he was trying to reassure himself more than her. I took the cloak from his hands and continued to apply pressure, as Entity turned towards Notch who was smiling at the spectacle before him.

"Aww look. Entity to the rescue" Notch said with a sadistic laugh.

"You sick son of a bi..."

"Wow wow. Easy Entity" Notch said cutting him off.

"How did we not sense him" Null said to Herobrine.

"Oh that's quite simple really. You remember Adam don't you Heorbrine" Notch said pointing to the soldier that stabbed Ellie. He had now retreated back to stand with Notch, Steve and Alex.

"The inventor of the Wither Rose Poison used to knock you out. He's the one that made a unique potion, one that cuts off a persons aura from others, so he wasn't sensed by you" He then said answering Null's question.

I looked down at Ellie, she was loosing blood quick.

"Ellie can you hear me?" I asked her

She nodded slightly and looked at me

"Okay good, I need you to keep looking at me. Keep your eyes open", I said softly to her.

"What's the point of this Notch, why target her?" Herobrine shouted towards him.

"Oh you'll see soon enough brother. Have fun with keeping her alive" Notch said and then disappeared with the other three.

I looked down at Ellie who was struggling to stay awake.

"Hey Ellie, please... just keep looking at me a little longer." I pleaded.

"Y/n... I- I c-can't."
She then looked towards Entity and placed her hand on his face.

"I'm sorry. I love you", She whispered between gasps as her eyes closed shut and didn't open again.

{Hello hello, I'm back! Covid was horrible I'm still trying to recover, I've been really tired and losing my energy quite quickly and haven't really had any time to write because of school work. Until now. I hope you are all doing well, sorry to post this rollercoaster of a chapter. I've been thinking about this chapter for quite a while so it's great to finally be able to put it into words.
