Chapter 6

Notch's POV

I was walking beside the border where the Wasteland meets the Overworld, the Wasteland is a part of the Overworld but ever since my brother invaded that part we set up the border. There is a massive forest that stretchs along both sides of the border, the forest being the one y/n ran through when she escaped, it continues into the Wasteland half of it belonging to my brother and the other half belongs to me. Exactly in the middle of the forest is where the border separates the two lands. The only people that can get across are certain people that possess powers or people my brother and I allow. I was making sure that things were normal at the border, making sure no one was there that shouldn't be or if there was any strange activity. I was on my way to one of the look out towers to get any news or see if there was anything that happened when y/n was here the other night. She must have crossed the border while running from my men and that's how she ran into him; when I was experimenting on her I knew she would be able to get across but I was just hoping she wouldn't run that direction. I was thinking of what I could do to get her back, I needed to be smart she wouldn't come willingly and i wouldn't be able to get close enough to take her by force, Herobrine will surely be protecting her. I need to be one step ahead of my brother. I thought about a plan for a few minutes while walking towards the tower, finally a thought popped into my mind. That's it, there's a way she can come with me willingly, well not really willingly because she'd be under my control but anyways. It's a bit risky but it will work I just need to think it through a bit more. I then came to one of the look out towers that sit along my side of border as I walked in the soldiers on duty bowed their heads.

"What's the report?" I asked.

"Well Sir, there hasn't been any unusual activity, that is until last night", one of the men said.

"And what happened?"

"Well the Enchantment Meter detected magic in the red, from two different Entity's Sir. When that happened well... it well..." he said this stuttering trying to say something. It was getting on my nerves and I snapped without thinking not meaning to do it.

"Spit it out I haven't got all day, what happened to the meter?" I asked annoyed.

"Well it broke Sir."

Both men moved aside and showed the broken meter, the arrow was half hanging out of it and there was no light anymore, no sign of the green, orange or red it should have, it was just a dull grey. Some smoke was still rising from it and occasionally Red sparks of the enchantment I put on it could be seen inside the meter.

I was speechless, this isn't possible. I designed the Enchantment Meter to detect when anyone uses magic along the border, it's strong enough to detect my brothers powers without breaking like this, I enchanted it so that it would never break...ever!

"What happened here?" I asked in shock.

"Well we were sitting on look out when the meter started going off, lighting up in the red, nothing like we've ever seen before, it... it was a new power, their magic aura was a light blue. It stayed like that for a while and then it detected your brothers power and completely broke.

I stood there shocked and confused of what I was staring at. The Meter lights up with a colour to show how powerful the magic is. There's three colours that are used to detect different kinds of magic: Green is for magic that can hardly be detected like brewing potions or when spells are being cast by witches or Evokers and other mobs, Orange is for a bit more powerful magic like teleporting or for when Nether or End portals are being used, and Red... well Red detects magic from Entity's, like my brothers and I, it lights up with the colour red but also with the colour of our magic aura. This happens even if we use a simple spell. If there was two Entity's in the Red that made this break that's dangerous and threatening.
