Chapter 4

Herobrine's POV

I sat in my office chair, deep in thought until Entity caught my attention.

"You know those rumours that we've been hearing...about a secret soldier Notch had been training, maybe Y/n is that soldier. "

Null then chimed in as well saying, "It would answer the question as to why she was running, if she does have mind control abilities that would be the reason why something was blocking me out. Or... I could be wrong and it could have been a spell Notch cas-"

"No," I interrupted "she does have powers, I sensed it last night and again when she was here with us, but I don't know for sure if she has the ability to control minds."

"So is she staying?" Entity asked.

I looked at Entity with an annoyed expression and said in an annoyed tone, "Well of course she's staying, why would I prepare a room for her if she wasn't" Entity raise his hands, saying he didn't mean to annoy me.

"Wait, if she is this soldier and Notch was going to use her take you down that would mean she's very powerful. As powerful as you and Notch, right." Entity said, "So... we could use her against him, she can help us take him down!" he finished. "No, we are not going to force her to do anything no doubt Notch had already done that.... We want her to trust us, so we let her decide if she wants to fight with us or not. We keep her here, we keep her safe, we protect her. Notch will be out looking for her and we need to keep the news of her being here subtle."

"Too late for that I bet the maids are already gossiping about the human you have staying in the castle", said Null. I mentally slapped myself, yes the maids running around and also, the strays, there is a small number who collect information for Notch, no doubt some of them saw us last night.
"Right well there's nothing more we can do if word gets out all we can do is hope that Notch is smart and doesn't attack us, just be prepared in case Notch comes here looking for her, have the army on high alert at all Nether and End portals and have the signals ready if there's any suspicious activity going on." Entity and Null both nodded their heads as silence crept over us. Entity and Null were waiting for me to dismiss them and I was starting to think up a plan.

"Well if there's nothing else to discuss I think we can eat now. I'll meet your two in the library with the girls in a few moments."

I finally dismissed them and they teleported away. I sat back in my chair and closed my eyes.
She must be this rumoured soldier, why else would Notch have Steve and Alex chase after her? If she was criminal or a simple prisoner I don't think he'd send them to hunt her down. I recalled the memory of Alex and Steve's horses drawing near to us before we teleported back here, leaving them in the silent forest with nothing but a distinguished camp fire as the only evidence we were there.
Wait, there was tell that this rumoured soldier had a mark on their right rist. It was never clear what kind of mark it was, just that they had some type of mark that symbolised the night, if y/n has that mark then we'll know for sure.
I opened my eyes, stood up and decided to get something to eat. I teleported away to the library to join the others.

Notch's POV

I stood looking out over my kingdom, looking down over my people, many out around the markets with raincoats on. The sun was blocked out by dark thunder clouds that turned the overworld a dull grey. I then looked over my army training below, lost in thought when a sound behind me made me turn my head, I saw Steve and Alex walking into the thrown room in their armour, helmets in hand and clearly exhausted from being out all night. What dissapointed me was that they were alone.

"So I take it she got away, since she's not with you hmm?" I asked in an annoyed tone.

"Yes sir, she used her power on one of the soldiers. By the time we had him restrained she was gone."

I closed my eyes and sighed while turning to face them, "Steve, Alex, you two are my best soldiers, my first creations, I think of you two as my son and daughter...." I paused for a minute as I walked over to them.
"So it DEEPLY dissapoints me when YOU FAIL your MISSONS!" I shouted which made them both flinch at my sudden outburst.

I sighed in annoyance and looked at Steve, "Have you got any news on her where abouts?" I asked.

"Ah well after we had restrained the soldier we caught up with her but she was... umm... with him, Sir. They teleported before we could stop them."

"Of course he has her..." I growled. "She could have ran into anybody, ANYBODY... but no... she ran into him of all people" I said in an angry tone.
I walked over and sat on my throne I needed a plan. I couldn't just barge on in to my brothers kingdom, I needed to be smart about this. I can't loose anymore men and I don't think their ready yet either since we only got the new recruits weeks ago.

"Sir, if I may ask wh...why is she so important?" asked Alex quietly. I sighed again and explained, "She is powerful, I believe she may be just as powerful and my brother and I but I'm not yet sure, that's why I've kept her here and experimented on her all this time. If Herobrine learns the truth, he probably already has, that means he'll have an advantage he'll be able to take over the kingdom." I had never told Alex any of this before the only one I had told was Steve and the ones that experimented on her. I thought for a moment before saying, "Steve, prepare the army in case we have to attack make sure their aware and train them extra hard so their ready. Both of you get some rest, in 3 hours meet me in my office and I'll tell you the rest of the plan.

They left and I sat on my throne little while longer trying to think of a plan before returning to look over my kingdom. If she really was who I thought she was then Herobrine has the advantage, he has something very powerful on his side. I'll just have to hope he's clueless to it or else everything I've worked on in the last 13 years will fall through, I can't let that happen. I've already came this far...
I stood up and walked out the doors of the thrown room, I needed to rest. I promised myself all those years ago I wouldn't lose.

And I won't, no matter the cost...

I will NOT lose to him.
