Sakiko was lying on her bed, thinking. Halloween was getting closer. But this year, she was not as thrilled as usual. Because it meant that the fight against Valhalla was also getting closer. And her bad feeling about it kept getting stronger as well. Was the fact that it was on Halloween a sign? A warning? Did it mean something? Or was she overthinking? Though she couldn't help it. The atmosphere was weirder lately. Especially with the departure of Baji and the arrival of Kisaki. Saki knew Mikey. She knew all her friends. They didn't want to fight Baji though they had no choice anymore. And concerning Kisaki... she was lost. He was showing her a different image than what people told her. He sure did look intimidating but he did was kind to her as well. Though there were suspicious things about him as well. For instance, why did he visit Mikey? How did he become the Third Team Captain so fast? And why did he really come to see her? Was it all correlated to Baji's departure? Or was it a coincidence? Though the look on Baji's face this night, it had to be linked. Kisaki seemed to be a smart person. But Sakiko was too.

So Sakiko grabbed her phone and opened Chifuyu's contact name. She had to figure out if Kisaki could or couldn't be trusted. And who better ally than Baji's second? Chifuyu knew him well and he had good instinct too. Besides, before telling Mikey or any Captain about her doubts, she wanted to be sure or have some kind of proof. She trusted Chifuyu and she knew he too had doubts about the tanned boy. She saw the look on his face when he talked about him.

Chi-kun. Are you free right now? She sent him a text.

Fortunately, he did not take too much time to answer.

Yeah. I'm by the river. He responded.

I'm coming then. I need to talk to you about something. It's about Baji-kun.

Alright. I'm with Takemitchy though.

Sakiko was slightly surprised to find out the two of them were spending time together. None of them had mentioned each other before. But it didn't matter at the time. It was even great that Takemichi was there. He was not a fan of Kisaki as well.

It's alright. I wanted to talk to him as well anyway.

After that, Sakiko quickly changed into more comfortable garments, meaning pants and a t-shirt. She took a coat against the cold of autumn and headed out of the house. Sumiko out with some friends and Grandma Hana was playing shogi at her club.

The Yamashita headed at the river spot. She knew where Chifuyu would be. Just like she and Mikey, he and Baji had their own spot near the river to chill and talk. The sound of the flowing river was soothing, so no wonders why they all liked being there so much. And when the sunset was reflecting on the water, it was even better.

After a few minutes of the walk, Sakiko saw Chifuyu sitting at the bottom of the slop with Takemichi, standing by the river.

"Chi-kun! Takkun!" Sakiko greeted them as she walked over to them.

"Hi, Saki-chan!" Takemichi smiled as he saw her.

"Yo," Chifuyu said. But Sakiko froze a moment, shocked.

"What happened to you, Chifuyu?!" She exclaimed as she walked faster toward him.

Chifuyu's face was covered in bruises and band-aids, the biggest one covering his eyes. What happened? Was it why he disappeared from school the other day?

"Oh, right... this... don't worry Saki, I'm fine," the Vice-Captain of the First Division reassured. Though Sakiko was not convinced.

"Why didn't you call me? Was it why you ditching school that day? What happened?"

"Baj-"

"A little altercation with Valhalla," Chifuyu cut Takemichi off, who frowned.

Chifuyu discreetly glanced at the bleached blond boy and slightly shook his head. Sakiko and Baji were childhood friends. She cared a lot for him and knowing he was the one who beat Chifuyu up would hurt her too much.
