Everything was dark. It was pure nothingness. Absolute void. Abyssal darkness. There was no light at all. Not even a shimmer. The place was only made of shadow, no color at all. There was no sound, no noise, so much silence one would be driven insane. And the coldness of the location was freezing anything. A cold chill of dreadful fear ran down Sakiko's spine. Her stomach twisted, her heart sank deep in her heart, as she released a shaky breath. Hardly gulping, she traveled her frightened eyes on the emptiness. A horrible ghastly uneasiness and uncomfortableness took over her. Her heart tightened and her limbs slightly trembled as she took in the void she was in. She clenched her jaw as she clutched the hem of her coat.

"Where am I?" she asked herself.

The place was so empty her voice resonated in the air. Sakiko bit her cheek. She didn't like this place. She was scared. Why was it so dark? Why was she alone?

She stood up, pushing her trembling limbs up, and looked around. She walked, aimlessly. She didn't know where she was going. It was so dark she couldn't see the end of the place. And yet, it was as if she could see in the dark. It was such a strange and scary feeling. Sakiko kept walking and walking and walking, looking for any way out. She frenetically looked around, her feet moving faster as the fear was getting stronger and stronger, her breath shakier and shakier. She kept walking and walking until her feet hurt. And yet, it seemed like there was no end. It seemed like the place was endless. It seemed like no matter how much she would walk, she would never find the end.

"Is anyone there?" She called.

But again, there was no sound but her resonating voice. Sakiko pressed her lips in a thin line, clenching her jaw even more as the tears started to flood her eyes. She was scared. She was horrified. She was terrified. She had never felt this lonely before. She had never felt this lost before. She had so many questions with no answers. What happened? Why was she here? What was 'here'? Where was Takemichi? She was with him so why wasn't he with her?

Sakiko tightened her grip on her coat as she slightly sobbed. Where was she?

And as if on cue, a little light glimmered. Sakiko snapped her head at it, eyes wide. A smile quickly found its way to her lips as she rushed to it. Was it his way out? It must be! She would finally get out of here. The closer she got to it, the warmer it was. It was comfortable. It was pleasant. She was finally escaping this dreadful darkness.

But an image flashed before her eyes. She stopped dead in her track.

Sakiko frowned, holding her head. What happened? Why was she here? And more images flooded her mind. She saw Hanma hitting her and her waking up in that abandoned building. She saw herself being beaten up by Kisaki. She saw herself waking up and calling Takemichi, then Takemichi finding her. And then it was pure blackness. Because she woke up there.

She recalled well the pain she felt at each pulse of her heart. Sakiko remembered it all now. She passed out. Or maybe... was she already dead? Was she already in the afterlife? She didn't think it was. Was it her consciousness? She didn't know... But then, was that light really the way out? If she touches it, would she return to her friends? Or would she return to her late lost ones?

Sakiko took a shaky breath. Her body was tense. Even more questions flooded her mind. What was she supposed to do now? What was this light exactly? Should she touch it? Or should she wait? But would that mean she would stay in this dark and lonely place forever? She didn't want to be lonely forever...

"Don't make that face, you look ugly," someone said.

Sakiko froze.

This voice... this voice, she had heard it so many times. She has listened to it so many times. She had argued with it so many times. This light voice gradually evolved into a lower one as it grew with time. This voice would only cockily tease or tell stupid but funny things. That voice was full of confidence, yet so warm and friendly. That voice she was afraid to forget. That voice she thought she would never hear ever again. She knew that voice. She could recognize it in a sea of thousands of men.
