(Here's some more stuff about Hugo Stiglitz! I hope you guys will enjoy)!
I sat on a log, carving my knife while reading the newspaper. I hummed a familiar tune while doing everything. "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" from "The Wizard of Oz." I saw this movie with Maman two years ago when it came out. We had been in Boston to visit Oncle and Tante when we went to see it. I loved it. I loved it so much that I named one of our calves Dorothy. I miss her. I hope nothing happened to her. I know the Nazis took away cattle, but I just hope they didn't kill them. Especially Dorothy.
"Hey Frankie." Aldo greeted, walking by. "Hey." I greeted back, still focusing on the paper while carving my knife. I didn't look up at him like I usually did so he looked at me. "Whatcha got there?" He asked. I smirked and handed him the paper. "His name's Hugo Stiglitz. He is fucking insane." I said as Aldo took the paper.
He read the paper and nodded a little, smirking. "Where'd you find this?" Aldo asked. "I went to the cafe I usually went to before meeting y'all. One of the waitresses there, who I'm friends with, gave it to me." I answered. Aldo nodded. "He's gonna be sent to Berlin to be made an example of. What do you say we head over to where he is and get him outta there?" I suggested. "I like that idea Frankie. So what's the plan?" Aldo asked, sitting in front of me. We devised a plan to get all the Basterds to his cell and get him out and have him join us. No doubt he's heard of us. And if not, he'll know soon enough.
***************************
Our plan was just beginning. We managed to sneak into where Hugo Stiglitz was being held and were discussing our plan quietly. Once we figured everything out, we split up. I got a new gun recently. A shotgun. This is my first time using it. I never used one before. It was pretty quiet so we had to be careful. Luckily Wicki had sliced the throat of one of the guards so he couldn't warn anyone.
The Nazis guarding Hugo were all over. I tiptoed quietly and heard a gunshot go off. Then, gunfire ensued, including my own gun. Once we were positive that they were all dead, we walked in front of the cell. I walked with Donny and Omar and walked past them and stopped directly in front of the cell. Hugo must've been shocked considering I was a young girl with a shotgun and wearing a jacket and army pants and boots. Though that shock must've been internal since he didn't react. Just continued smoking his cigarette.
I heard footsteps from behind me and knew it was Aldo. I moved aside for him and he appeared on my right. "Sergeant Hugo Stiglitz?" Aldo spoke. Hugo nodded. "Lt. Aldo Raine. These are the Basterds. Ever heard of us?" Aldo asked. Hugo nodded again. "We just wanna say we're a big fan of your work, when it comes to killing Nazis--" Aldo continued, but was interrupted by a painful groan from a guard. I shot the guard without looking and smirked. He was definitely dead now. It took me by surprise that Hugo didn't even flinch and just continued smoking his cigarette.
"I think you show great talent. And I pride myself for having an eye for that kind of talent." Aldo said, walking forward. He wasn't wrong. He did recruit me and I had that talent. Not trying to be conceited of course. "But your status as a Nazi killer, is still amateur. We all come here to see if you wanna go pro?" Aldo said, leaning against the bars. Hugo nodded once again. I smirked. Thanks to me, we recruited him. Aldo smirked at me and walked over. "The Basterds is getting better thanks to you, Frances. Get him out of there." Aldo whispered to me, patting my shoulder. I smirked and set my gun down. One of the guards in front of the cell had the keys to the cell and the handcuffs so that was easy.
I put the key in and opened the cell. I bent down and did work on the cuffs. "Ever heard of the Shadow?" I asked. I looked up and saw that he nodded. "That's me. Unexpected probably but hey. Everything is unexpected these days." I said, standing up and putting the handcuffs and keys in my pocket. This could come in handy one day. "You do great work as the Shadow. I've heard all about it." Hugo spoke. I smirked a little. "Thanks. You're not so bad yourself. Welcome to the Basterds. You'll really fit in here." I voiced. I'm not wrong. He is gonna fit in. Just like how I did.
(Hugo Stiglitz has arrived!!! I hope you guys enjoyed this! See you soon)!
