"Please just let him go," I beg. I can't handle this, I can't lose him. Especially if it's my fault. "Okay! Okay! Fine, I'll talk."
"That's my boy," he applauds. He let's go of Kellin, who collapses to his knees, heaving air through his nose and what little he can through the material of the bandana. Ben shoos the others from the room, closing a camouflaging latch in the cieling. We're definitely in a basement of some sort.
He comes over to me, pulling a chair out from behind me and sitting on it. I look at the shuddering Kellin and find him looking at me. He shakes his head and gives me a look, telling me not to out myself for him.
"Alright, talk," Ben orders. I sigh, closing my eyes and trying to come up with a fool proof story.
"I don't have anything on you, okay? I'm a shit ass cop and that's why they set me on this. All I have is your name and that's it."
"That's bullshit," he catches. "Tell me everything you know."
"I wasn't lying. I really don't have anything. In all honesty, we aren't after you guys. You're too young that evreything we bring up in court would be played off as adolescant mistakes. Even if we do get you put away it'll only be for a year before you're back out." Lie, we would get them moved into an official federal prison. "We're after your supplier. We want him to be caught and cut you guys off," Lie. It's all lies! He nods along, seemingly believing me.
"And who's our supplier?" he asks. That kid at the music store.
"I don't know," I lie, looking him right in the eye and refusing to let the contact be so much as questionable. Ben stands and starts slowly walking towards me. At that moment Kellin starts trying to talk again, coming out with only distorted noises.
"Shut up!" he scolds, spinning to face Kellin. Kellin just sruggles more, and I have a feeling he broke that tape and is making a move. Ben reaches him and my heart jums in excitment, we may be getting out of here. "SHUT UP!" he shouts, kicking Kellin right in the stomach. He makes a gagging noise and leans forward, covering his ribs.
"Don't! You're hurting him!" But Ben doesn't care as he kicks him again. Oh no. No one does that to my boyfriend. All I see is red. I'll kill him, I'll fucking kill him. My back slams against a wall, shattering the chair. It falls in spplinters, all around me, bits and pieces still attachted with tape. But I can move at free will now.
I lunge at Ben, wasting no time and shove him away.
"Shit, GUYS! HELP!" he yells. I barely hear as animosity courses through my veins. Punch after punch to his face as he stumbles to the ground.
"MM! MM!" Kellin mumbles, still bound. My focus changes and I hear the guys pulling at the latch. I kick Ben where it really hurts: the family jewels, and turn to Kellin jumping down and losening the gag, letting it fall to his neck. "The tapes almost through, fight them offf, don't worry about me," he says breathlessly.
"Oh fuck. HE GOT OUT!" someone yells. I spin around, not caring who it is. My body pounces on the guy, throwing all the energy I have into shoving him away. He's quick to react though, and he knees my abdomen, forcing the air out of my lungs.
"Vic!" Kellin gasps. He just distracts me, so I block him out, focusing on keeping the flowing in guys off him. I finally throw a punch at the guy's face, swaying him back. I take the chance and push his head into a nearby wall, hard. By this time though, Ben's getting to his feet. It was easy to just kick him again and send him right back down.
Two other guys jump down from the opening and I go right to them, bashing their heads together. They each grab them instinctively and I grab Danny, kneeing his gut and digging my elbow into a pressure point under his shoulder blade. I kick the other in his chest sending him into a wall. Finally a perk to this cramped space, walls are everywhere. I hear Kell's tape rip, and step closer to him, watching for others' actions.
