Chapter Three - Stay with me pt. 1

Today was one of those days where not many people go to the hospital, it was quite nice not having any town folk sick, but I was starting to get worried about my income, I may have to start working in the next town at least get end meets without worrying about it, but it would cost me more gold for transportation and also-

"Did you invite them?" Snapped Maru out of the blue.
"Huh?"
"The farmer, did you invite them?" She repeated looking into my eyes.
"Come on Maru, we're working."
"I'll take it as a no. And by the way, you were daydreaming."
"Listen, I know Y/N is way too busy with their farm, the only times of the day I see them is when they have to go to Pierre's, they have no time for a dance... and after all, I think they're more interested in your brother Sebastian... I see them going now and then to the mountains."

"Ehhhh, that's not why they've been going to the mountains quite often." Said Maru

"What other reason could it be? There's a lake nearby yes, but there's also a lake right next to Marnie's ranch and it is closer to their farm... I find no reasons to go that far away for fishing."

"Dr. Harvey, I know the mountains seem pretty far away from the town, but you shouldn't be so negative about it, it is in fact actually full of activit—HOLD ON" shouted Maru and then looked straight into my eyes.

"Are you jealous of SEBASTIAN?" Once she said that she started laughing.

"Did I say something funny?" I said, what could gave her that senseless idea?

"I'm sorry, Dr. Harvey. But I never thought you'll get jealous over a 22-years-old boy."

"I never said I was jealous, I'm just taking into consideration that Y/N might find Sebastian more appealing since he's in their age range."

"Harvey, that's not the reason they've been going to the mountains, they've been going to the mines."

"Oh, the mines."
I felt some sort of relief once she finished that sentence. Phew, the mines were the reason they were going to the mountains, not another thing. However I started to realize, that was worse.

"Wait, that place is perilous, why would they go in there?"

"Well, at least is better than them flirting with Sebastian, right?"

"... let's get back to work, Maru."
