"Happy valentines, darling. I have a surprise for you." You grinned when you heard Kate open the door. "Baby, you didn't have to do anything." she smiled and went to kiss you. "I know, I just wanted to. Besides, you got me a bouquet of flowers." You replied. "It was only flowers, my love." she said with a little grin.
"Close your eyes." You said but still covered them for her. "Careful, don't step on Lucky's tail." You chuckled and guided her away from the golden retriever that was lying on the floor, taking a nap. "Okay, sit on the sofa and open your eyes." You grinned.
You saw the giddy smile on Kate's face when she saw the lights you hung up, the pillow fort you built and her favourite snacks on the table along with a stack of her favourite movies. "I couldn't get us a table at the restaurant so this was what I came up with." You said and rubbed the back of your neck. "How long did it take you to do all this?" she chuckled. "A couple hours." You replied.
"I love it." Kate smiled and wrapped her arms around your waist while placing kisses on your neck. "Still you didn't have to do anything, I'm just happy to spend time with you." she continued. "I love you so much." You said and enveloped her in a kiss.
