The beginning of the end - Pt 2

With the quidditch tournament over and Gryffindor's celebration dying down, everyone began to prepare for the end of the school year and the ball, right around the corner. Everyone was getting excited for the Ball being just five days away...

(The day of the ball)

"ALLISON! ALLISON! Where in merlin's name are you!" Lily yelled scanning the halls in her flowered dress, "ALLISON!... Merlin I'm going to kill her when I find her!" Lily began to grow impatient with her lost little friend. Lily was about to give up looking when she heard Allie's voice. "Allie?" She turned the corner colliding into someone else, "Remus!" She yelled in shock, "Have you seen your girlfriend? She's meant to be in our dorm! But I can't find her anywhere!" Lily muttered,

"I was kind of hoping you'd know" Remus said uncertainly rubbing the back of his head, "You... You look lovely by the way"

"Thank you" Lily smiled "As do you"

"We should... We should find Allison" Remus said after a while,

"Ye, that would be a good idea". They started walking down the hall looking for the brunette twin, they still couldn't find her, so they decided to go back to the Gryffindor tower.

"Any luck?" Annie said rushing to their side.

"Nope" Lily sighed, "Where's James and Sirius?"...

"Professor Dumbledore, may I have the honour of taking such a fine gentleman to the ball" Sirius bowed

"Mr. Black, I'm astonished but wouldn't you like to go with your friends?" Just as Dumbledore finished McGonagall entered the room.

"But they're all going together leaving little old me on my own, and why wouldn't you like to go with someone as fabulous as me" Sirius flicked his long, wavy, brunette hair over his shoulder smiling flirtatiously, McGonagall stood stunned in silence, her words lost in a maze. "So, what do-"

"HOW DARE YOU! YOU KNOW HOW I FEEL, HOW COULD YOU BETRAY ME?" James yelled, both Professor Dumbledore and McGonagall struggled to keep a stern face as the two boys argued about who was going to take Professor Dumbledore to the ball. Meanwhile Lily, Remus and Annie were going mental with Allie who was still nowhere to be found.

"I swear on merlin's grave I am going to kill her, where is she?" Lily yelled in frustration, Annie wondered over to Lily in an attempt to calm her down,

"Have you tried the black lake?" Annie suggested

"Yes, I've tried all her usual spots, I've searched the entire castle grounds!" Lily yelled

"Wooden bridge?"

"Yes"

"Hagrid's hut?" Remus suggested

"Yes, Remus!" Lily yelled pacing, she suddenly stopped "No, Remus you're a genius!" Lily took off through the portrait, down the hall and across the school field towards the giant, straw hut. "Allie! Allison Teddison Lastella I am going to kill you! What are you doing!" She yelled but instead of frustration filling her voice it was relief.

"Hi'er Lily" The giant beetle eyed man practically yelled.

"Hello Hagrid, do you mind if I steal Allie away?"

"Ye'r", Allie gave the hippogriff one last smooth before picking up her dress and walking towards the annoyed ginger girl.

"You wanted me?" She said quietly

"Yes, I've been looking all over this bloody castle for you and I couldn't find you anywhere" She scolded

"Sorry" Allie apologised looking down shamefully. "Come on let's get back to the castle we have a ball to go to and a whole dorm room to pack" Lily smiled genteelly nudging Allison. They walked back to the tower chatting about their near future. Once they arrived, they were surprised to see James and Sirius with Professor McGonagall.
