𝐇𝐎𝐓𝐂𝐇𝐍𝐄𝐑,
𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐰𝐞𝐥𝐯𝐞.𝐓𝐇𝐄 last person Spencer and Nathan expected to ruin their 'date night' was Averie Hotchner, but there she stood. As soon as Nathan opened his apartment door Averie welcomed herself in, a large gym bag over her shoulder, "You remember that time when your landlord kicked you out for showing your ass to the neighbours?"
Nathan groaned at the story, "It was an accident!" He tried to defend himself, shutting his front door behind her.
"And as such a great friend I let you stay at my apartment until you could find another..." Averie continued, throwing her gym bag on to the floor, "Time to re-pay the favour"
Averie hadn't planned to spill the details of her rocky marriage to Nathan or Spencer, but after two bottles of wine the two men could barely stop her, "I love him, I love him and he doesn't even know me, I don't even know me!" She exploded, hands waving in the air.
Whilst Spencer wanted nothing more then to be there for his friend, he also wanted to respect his boss - the federal agent went to bed first, kissing both doctors on the cheek, platonic love was still love that deserved to be shown.
Luckily for Averie, Nathan wasn't working the next day, so her younger friend could get just as intoxicated as she already was. Once Averie explained her dreadful therapy session, Nathan was happy to help her drown her sorrows, whilst also helping her plan the 'trip of a lifetime'.
It was Averie's drunken idea, and Nathan for some ungodly reason thought that he could do it. So, at 4am in the morning Spencer awoke to uncontrollable laughter and when he entered - the last thing he expected was to see Nathan holding a pair of medical scissors and Averie's long copper hair on the floor.
"What the fuck"
For once, Spencer Reid was actually speechless. The two doctors couldn't stop giggling, leaning on each other and spilling the vodka from their glasses, "I-I have no words"
That seemed to make the two laugh even more, "This is actually awful, why did I let you do that?" Averie spoke through giggles, "At least it's feels freeing!" She ran her fingers through her much shorter hair.
"Yeah... I can't believe you let me do that either" Nathan broke out into chuckles, "Maybe we should go to the mall tomorrow, y'know, fix that" He gestured to her head.
Spencer was the one that dragged the duo to bed, deciding to finish the rest of his sleep on the couch with an old blanket. Averie was way passed drunk when her head hit the pillow of Nathan's bed, and Nathan definitely wasn't much better.
The two woke to aspirin on the table, and Spencer gone. Nathan drove to the mall, both doctors dressed in lounge wear and large black sunglasses - Averie had stolen Aaron's before she left, "Please tell me you can fix this drunken mess..." Averie pulled down her hood, reaching the botched haircut to the stylist.
It's an hour later that Averie's copper locks are cut to perfection, resting in a bob just above her shoulders, "Oh Aaron Hotchner is gonna' cream his pants at the sight of you" Nathan complimented with a laugh.
