𝐒𝐏𝐄𝐍𝐂𝐄𝐑 Reid was many things, a genius, a doctor, a boyfriend and a son, but the most important thing? He was fiercely loyal. It didn't take him long to have Rossi's office turned into an investigation scene, his mind worked at 100mph and the added alcohol only seemed to make it work faster.
"Motive!" Penelope called out, gaining attention of the room, "I cross checked people who had vendettas against Rossi with those of Hotch - Y'know people who've previously complained about the two, send threats, hate mail, showed aggression during cases - obviously multiple turned up so then I matched them against people living in the state or who recently entered the state and then-"
"Get to the point, babygirl"
"Right, yes, sorry, Alexavier Brenton got released from Minnesota Correctional Facility in Stillwater five weeks ago, he caught a flight to the Ronald Reagan airport in Quantico three days back" Penelope continued, still tapping away at the buttons of her laptop.
"Brenton..." Dave sighed, head in his hands, "I don't even remember the name, nevermind the guy, what the hell did we do that was so bad?"
Aaron didn't respond, staring out the window whilst his daughter clung to his chest, he rubbed soothing circles on the babies back, knowing all too well that showing signs of anxiety would only stress his daughter out, "Ah, ha!" Penelope squealed.
"Garcia..."
"Right, sorry, the case was back in, oh, 1998, with Senior Agents David Rossi, Jason Gideon, deputy Agents Octavia Langford and Aaron Hotchner" She read off, "Looks like our guy's wife Silvia had some form of schizophrenia, held a boy captive thinking it was her dead son and, ah, yep, she was killed by Agent Hotchner under Rossi's command..."
"The boy, Anthony Wilson?" Aaron questioned, glancing at Dave, who still seemed to have no recognition of the man.
"Yes, sir"
"She was my first kill with the BAU" He cleared his throat, "Gideon told me to focus on the life I saved not the one I took, I forced myself to forget her name and in return remembered his instead" Aaron confessed, glancing to Dave, "You have no idea do you?"
"I don't and in honesty I don't care, this psychos got my girlfriend and she's got our Averie, I do not care about his sob story or whatever the hell happened to his skitzo wife, I just want to hunt this man down" Dave's voice had never been so low and poisonous.
"Skitzo?" Spencer scoffed, still working on his geographical profile, not even looking at the agent, "Only 10% of all homicides in America are done by individuals with schizophrenia and bipolar disorder, only 2% of individuals in the USA with schizophrenia have homicidal thoughts, making only 0.8% actually commit the crime" He all but hissed, maybe it was the alcohol that was making him bolder.
"Reid, I never said anything about your Mo-"
"You didn't have too, you paint every person with schizophrenia with the same brush, I have a 34.7% chance of inheriting it, so, tell me, will you expect me to kill too?"
As if the tension wasn't already bad in the room, Spencer shrugged off Nathan's touch, "If the un-sub is staying here, that means he's more likely keeping the two between these two coordinates, Garcia search for a secluded area between these two, abandoned buildings, warehouses, basements..." Spencer listed off, "JJ, Prentiss go search the hotel room, he might have left something that'll give us a better look into his thought process"
