Me and the boys were at the lot talking, we talked about Pony and Johnny, and the rumble. 2 days after this whole bob situation it just started going around,  and bang we got us a fight going on. Soda hasn't been his happy self though, which was kinda a relief cause he got annoying, but kinda sad knowing the reason why he was so down. being honest I felt bad keeping this secret from the Curtis's . But I had to keep Johnny out of trouble, I didn't want him to be like me, I loved him, I needed him to be safe.

Soda was looking down, "Come on Soda, things will get better, I'm sure the boys are safe." I let out, "They probably are." he let out quitely. Just then a nice fancy car pulled up and a red headed chick came out. that cherry chick. What did she want, maybe to argue about how it was our fault her boyfrind was dead, how we were stupid and dirty hoods, that little bitch was trouble. "What does she want" Steve let out. "Lets see, she aint that bad of a chick." Two-Bit let out. She came up to us, it was silent. "What do you want." Soda let out. "I wanted to let you guys know that I told the cops that Bob was drunk was starting trouble with Pony and Johnny. I know you guys look at me as the enemy but I didn''t want any of this to happen, but I had to do whats right, I also wanted to let you guys know that I'll give you any information about the rumble. I'll let you guys be now." she turned around and walked away. "Wait" Soda yelled. "Why us, why would you want to help us? You don't know us or our problems." He asked."I just wanna do whats right." She continued to walk away. I walked slowly behind her and tapped on her shoulder scaring her.

"Look hood, Im not in the mood for you crap." She said, "I just was wondering if you wanted to get a coke?" I asked. "Go to hell" She said. "Okay, being honest but don't tell no one I said this. Thanks Cherry." I said. "Why do you need to act so tuff to people and not be the nice guy you just were?" She asked. I paused.

"I don't know, I'm a really confusing guy, when I walk away can you scream asshole,? Don't want these guys thinking I'm soft." I said, "sure" she said smiling. I walked off and heard the scream "YOU ASSHOLE." she screamed. "What you do to make that red head get red headed?" Two Bit said. We all kind of laughed. "Just asked her out and we started arguing, she really hates me." I chuckled. "Speaking of redhead I got to get home before my mom gets heated, I'll see ya'll tomorrow." Two bit let out. "Yeah, I should get back, Its been really hard for Darry to get through this." Soda said."I gotta get going too" steve said."I know you know where hes at Dal " Soda said. "I don't man, I really don't", I said. "Just give this to him" he said and handed me a folded paper. I just looked at it as he walked away, and It was time to see the boys.

So if your wondering, the rest of the story is mostly Dals P.O.V, not all of it but a portion of it, If you read the book or seen the movie you would know why.
