The Hospital pt 2

Johnnys P.O.V

I wasn't laying on my stomach anymore, instead on my back, The doctor just told me a hour ago. I couldn't keep my promise to Dally, the doctor told me I was dying, I was okay with dying now but I just wished I could have kept my promise to dallas, I know how heart broken he was going to be after he finds out. I just felt weaker and weaker by the hour. Ponyboy came by earlier to check on me, I wish I could have said goodbye but I passed out. "excue me Nurse." I said. she came over to me, "Do you need something Johnny?" she asked. " I need to you to write a letter for me, to my friend Pony?, the one that was in here. when I die, I want you to give him my book with the letter in it." I said.  She got a peice of paper and a pin. "okay Johnny, start when your ready"

"I asked the nurse to give you this book, so you could finish it.It was worth saving those kids because their lives are worth more than mine. They have more to live for.Tell Dally I think it's worth it.I'm gonna miss you guys. I've been thinking about it, and that poem, that guy that wrote it. He meant you're gold when you're a kid, like green.When you're a kid everything's new. Dawn.  "Like the way you dig sunsets, that's gold. Keep it that way. It's a good way to be.I want you to ask Dally to look at one. I don't think he's ever seen a sunset. There's still lots of good in the world.Tell Dally, I don't think he knows. Your buddy, Johnny." 

the nurse looked like she was about to cry, she put the letter in the book. "Im so sorry Johnny." She said. "Its okay." she walked out with the book. a few minutes later, I saw Dally walk in, oh dally, How would I tell him, I want to but I can't, I think he should just find out own his own. he closed the door and came in.

-Dally's P.O.V

"Hey buddy." I said walking in, " You fighting for me." I continued. "Yeah" he said sounding weaker then ever."You okay?" I asked. "Yeah dally" he replied. " I'm about to go to the rumble and make em pay for you buddy, you don't deserve this."  I said quivering. "It was worth it Dally." he said. "Losing you isn't worth anything." I cried. "I saved lives Dally, young lives who can and will have a bright future. so what if I end up in a wheelchair or something." I paused, I think he wanted to die, I hope he didn't, but I know he was gonna be okay, I know. "Look Johnny, I'ma come back with Pony after the rumble." I let out, I went over him and kissed him for maybe about thirty seconds. "I love you Johnny, all my hits are gonna be for you." I walked out the room, I wanted to stay with him but it was time to get payback, payback for me, the boys, and Johnny.
