Yukiko's P.O.V

I placed more wood on the fire, gently gripping onto a piece of wood before throwing it in. I was currently with Albedo and Sucrose on the mountaintop, Albedo working vigorously on a new potion. Albedo's birthday was tomorrow, but I doubted more and more that he remembered. He slept only because I forced him to. I looked at Sucrose, who was working quietly. I took a deep breath and brought up the courage to start walking towards her.

Me and Albedo haven't had sex since our first time five months ago. He said he was ashamed that he had embraced me so soon, and was going to take a break. He's taken me on a surfeit of dates since then, and brings me little gifts whenever he can. But that's not what upsets me, neither is the fact that he hasn't had sex with me. It's that it feels like he's restraining himself when he kissed me, and apologizes when he sets his hand on my thigh.

I reached my hand out, hesitating. Should I bother her? The wind picked up, blowing my short purple hair in my face. I looked at the ends, gently gripping onto the pink tips. If I don't ask her if this, my plan won't go well. It doesn't matter if it's embarrassing, if she declines that's her decision. But I'll never know her answer unless I ask. I took a deep breath before tapping her shoulder. No going back now.

"Hm? What is it, Yukiko?" She turned to look at me. "I know you're concerned that I was busy, but I was just organizing my notes."

"Can you come this way with me..?" I gently grabbed her hand.

"Of course."

I gently walked her out of sight and hearing range. I took a deep breath, fidgeting with Albedo's jacket. How do I ask this?

"You can ask me anything, Yukiko. You're my best friend, after all." She smiled sweetly at me.

Me and Sucrose got to know each other a lot better over time, too. We've had best friend dates with Amber all the time. I apologized a lot for the first month, because she didn't need to see the aftermath. She said it was alright every time, that it's normal. She was just unprepared to see it. She's checked in with me and Albedo constantly, making sure everything was going alright.

"Sucrose, I have a favor." I looked at her. Don't you dare fucking say nevermind.

"Yes? What is it?"

"As you know, Albedo's birthday is tomorrow..." Go on... "And I was wondering-"

"Oh, Archons! I forgot about Mr. Albedo's birthday!" She did her little panic steps. "Shoot, shoot, shoot..."

"Maybe, we could help each other out here?"

"Hm? What are you proposing?" She tilted her head.

I fidgeted with my fingers. "Well, for Albedo's birthday, I wanted to give him... myself. But I'm sure you know that he would turn it down in the blink of an eye if I didn't butter him up first."

"I see." She gently moved her hand to her mouth, closing her eyes. "Perhaps doing something smaller would be an option. If you try to go in immediately he'll just say no, like when you tried three months ago."

"Yes, I know this. But..." I took a deep breath. "Sucrose, do you have any potions that could make my hormones act up?"

"Oh! I do indeed!" She searched through her bag. "This is experiment two one five. I made it a while back, and the effects take about an hour to kick in. Mine isn't as fast as Mr. Albedo's, but I'm sure you don't want to ask him."
