Yukiko's P.O.V

I slowly leaned against a shaded rock, looking for a bit of coolness in the desert I had gotten lost in. I couldn't find my way back, and I'm definitely not walking in the hot desert sand for hours with no water. I ran out just a few hours ago, and I already wanted more.

I used my element to help me cool down, but it strained me to cool myself down and to not freeze myself solid. I laid down, panting heavily. My sweat-covered, medium length warm brown hair clung to my head, my green eyes closing as I felt myself start to give in to the heat.

"What's this?"

I quickly opened my eyes from the sudden deep, mocking voice. A man with white hair and tan skin hovered over me, soon kneeling down.

"You aren't dead, but I can't tell if that's good or bad." He glared at me. "State your name, age, and business."

"Yukiko Yamashita, nineteen, and I'm just a simple explorer." I closed my eyes. "I wanted to learn more about Sumeru, but I've gotten hopelessly lost..."

He sighed and picked me up. "Just be fully aware you owe me a favor."

"Alright."

He tossed me over his shoulder and grabbed a water from his hat, moving me back and handing it to me. It was a bit warm, but water is water. By the time I finished it we were at the edge of a forest, him gently putting me down. He glared at me.

"Well?"

"Thank you." I froze. "What's your name?"

"I'm General-"

"No." I grabbed his hands. "I want to know your name."

I saw him visibly blush a bit, looking to the side. "Cyno."

I let go of his hands. "It's been nice seeing you, Cyno."

"Are you seriously going in there by yourself with no experience?"

"Yeah? I've done it hundreds of times before, I-"

"Yeah, and you still got lost in a desert and relied on a complete stranger to guide you to safety." He sighed. "Might as well lead you to Tighnari."

"Who's that?"

"A friend of mine."

He started walking, me seeing a stream. "Hey, can we stop for a second?"

"Why?"

I took off my dress and underclothes, going into the water. My clothes were similar to Sucrose's, but mine has a blue color palette rather than green. I sunk down and cleaned out my hair, looking back at him. His face was flushed, an expression of anger and fluster plastered on his face.

"The water's nice. Want to join me?" I tilted my head.

"You're indecent." He grumbled.

"Is it making you uncomfortable?" I murmured.

This seemed to anger him more. "I don't get uncomfortable."

"Alright, if you insist..."

I continued to clean myself, looking to see he was staring at a lily pad closer to him, it being a bit obvious he was trying not to look at me. I used a lily pad to cover my breasts, suddenly realizing that this wasn't another female but a man I didn't even know. I felt my face go red.
