Saturday.

I'm on my way to their apartment because we have to start creating our miniature design for the competition. 

Yesterday, we presented two sketch designs to Mr. Jeon and gladly he choose that one which we both also liked. I also send a copy to my dad for him to look at which one was much better and he also pointed that one design which me, Chaeryeong, and Mr. Jeon had chosen.

It's 8 in the morning. We have to be early because we need to buy the materials all by ourselves. The department shouldered the expenses, so we were given enough budget to buy everything we will be needing.

I ring the doorbell. I tried many times yet no one was still answering. Chaeryeong was not even answering her damn phone. Bet she's still drooling on her bed. Should I just throw stones on their window? That'll be disrespectful.

I tried once again and then there goes Hwang Yeji in her black pajamas, eyes squinting because of the bright light,  opening the gate for me, finally. Looks like I ruined her good sleep. She's pouting, is she upset? I'm so sorry, baby.

"Good morning?" I greeted her sounded sorry so I showed a peace sign and smile.

"Good morning, Ryu" she greeted me back and offered a little smile. Such a cutie, Yeji. It's so unfair. Why does she look so fresh upon waking up?

I sat on the couch.

"Chaeryeong's still sound asleep, I see. I'll wake her up"

"Do you want coffee? Or milk? We don't have tea, sorry" she asked me before heading to the kitchen.

"Yes, you"  Defeaning silence after stressing those words. She didn't get it Ryu, what a shame. You're ruining her day already.

But the silence did not last long as I heard her laugh. I heard her laugh and it was the best thing I've ever heard first thing in the morning.

"I think, too much coffee is not good for you since you're high enough on caffeine" She said still beaming.

She then gave me a glass of milk.

"Drink up, kid. I'll wake Chaeryeong up" she patted my head. She's too close that I felt like I forgot how to breathe. My heart was beating way faster than normal.

"But Yeji-yah, I'm not a kid" I said in a serious tone which made her look at me.

"Call me baby instead" with that I heard her laugh once again. I cringed hearing myself. What the actual fuck am I doing early in the morning?

Thank God, she's not that aggressive. I'll quit teasing her for now before she find reason to smack my ass off and drag me out of here.

"Just spill it" I said to Chaeryeong without looking at her because my eyes was focused on checking for  materials here at hardware store.

"What?" She asked innocently.

"You're looking at me like that eversince we're on your apartment"

She sighed which made me furrowed my brows.

"I noticed that you and my bestfriend are getting closer with each other"

"So? Are you jealous? C'mon, just admit it that you like me" I teased her. She just make face on me.

"What the fuck man, you ain't my type"  She said which made my teasing smile fade away. This bitch, that's why she can't collect girls because her standard are way too high. Does she know, I set the standard? Shin Ryujin is the standard y'all!

"It's just that.. I got a feeling that you're picking on my bestfriend" She said which made me felt nervous.

"What if I told you that I'm interested with your bestie, will you get mad?" I asked her sincerely. I don't want to hide it anymore, I know that I'm catching feelings for Yeji, but I'm still confused. So complicated.

She sighed once again.

"Shin Ryujin..are you doing this to plot some evil revenge against your ex?" She asked me once again. I bit my lower lip. Well, that was one reason why I want to get closer with Yeji, but ..

"I've think of it long enough, tried connecting the dots. I'm not stupid Ryujin. Soobin and Yeji were close acquaintances. And you get closer with her just after your breakup. Your watching her every steps, following her to know which classrooms she'll be entering. Waiting on her for afternoon dismissal even though we're dismissed earlier, riding with her home even though it's a walking~~"

"It's true" I cut her off. I bowed down my head. I didn't know she noticed all of that. She's glaring at me which made me shift my gaze.

"It's true that I want to get closer with Yeji because Soobin is interested with her and I want to teach Soobin some lessons through her" I can see Chaeryeong clenching her fist.

"Don't involve her in your god damned problems, Shin Ryujin! Yeji has nothing to do with the both of you!" Her voice increased now which made me worry some people might hear us.

"P-please hear me out, let me explain. But first, let's pay for these and get the hell out of here because people might hear us" I said and grabbed her out.
