I am gay, I am not, I am gay, I am not.
I'm chanting these words on my head while plucking the petals of a daisy flower that I just picked on my way to the university.

This is so childish and foolish but I'll let this flower decide for who and what I am. Am I really gay for her? My god, there's a lot of men waiting for me, why would I fall for a girl? Let's stop this nonsense~~

"You're so early today, yeddeong"

"I am gay" Oh god, this will be the end of me. Ryujin looked at me her brows meeting each other.

"I think it's too early to out yourself to me. But no worries, I don't judge" She said giving me a silly smile.

I don't know what to say. Come on you're smart, Yeji.

I cleared my throat.

"T-that's my line for our roleplay. I'm practicing it"

She shrugged her shoulders like she's not buying it.

"I remember messaging you on Tuesday night. Up until now, I'm still waiting for a reply from a certain human being called yeddeong"

"Well I'm uh..,I forgot to subscribe for a network, so yeah, that's why I can't reply to your message" I explained. How many times do I have to lie in front of her this morning.

And 'yeddeong'. The nickname's only exclusive to my family. Chaeryeong would not even call me 'yeddeong' although she's the closest to me. I remember just now that I put my nickname on her contacts. Why did I do that? Well, we're closer now so maybe that's my way of lowkey introducing my self to her.

"I'll be heading now. Chaeryeong's still asleep I guess. I'll give you the spare key" I said then started looking for the spare key inside my bag. I handed it to her of which she gladly received.

"Thanks for this. You should go now or else you'll be late" she said with a chuckle. Even her soft chuckle can make my heart beat insanely. My heart is kind of freaking me out these days.

"Yeah. Goodbye for now, Ryu. See you around"

"Do you want a kiss, yeddeong? I can give you morning kiss in case no one give it to y~~"

"N-no thanks! Goodbye" I walked quickly just to get away from her. I can hear her laugh. What's the matter with her? How can she do this without feeling awkward, while me?

"Hey!! It's just a kiss! It wouldn't hurt you! Yeddeong!! yaahh!!" I heard her shout. This is so embarrassing, the neighborhood can hear her that's why I ran away without looking at her.

"Yeji noona, good morning!" Soobin greeted me.

"Good morning, how's your rest?" I asked while we're both heading to our building. They were given a 3 day rest. Next week Monday would be the start of the championship.

"Well, I caught up with my missed activities. Mr. Park and Ms. Kim, our two major subject instructors were a bit problematic" He complained. I laughed for his reaction.

"You'll get through this. Ms. Kim for me, was okay, but Mr. Park's much stricter. Right?" He nodded.

"Well, to be honest, I have something to say to you. But, can we meet later at lunch? We'll getting late now. Bye noona!" he waved goodbye. I got curious of what he has to say.

Lunbreak came and Soobin messaged me.

I just walked on my way to meet him in the cafeteria as soon as I read his message.

I saw him on the corner near the window. He stood up as soon as he laid his eyes on me. He pulled the seat so I can sit down facing him. I smiled because of his gesture. He's really a gentle man.

"Just order anything, noona. It's my treat" he offered.

"So, what was it, Mr. Choi? What are you going to tell me?" I asked

"I like you, noona" He said seriously which made me sigh.

"Please don't be upset on me. I-I feel like I needed to say this because I can't and I don't want to hide my feelings for you anymore. I think you have every right to know what I feel" he said sincerely looking into my eyes.

I meet his gaze but eventually looked down because I don't know what to answer to him.

"Noona, it's fine. I-If you can't reciprocate my feelings, it's really fine for me. I just really need to say this to you. I'm hoping for a chance but of course I'll respect your feelings" he said. I just smiled at him.

He's not the first one to confess to me. I've encounter this kind of scenarios before, I've heard all those lines before. They'll be saying that but, still demands for their feelings to be reciprocated and if you can't give it back, they'd be upset. I don't understand.

"You know that I only see you as my little brother right?" I saw how his shouldered dropped but he still managed to give me smile.

"Soobin. You're a wonderful person. You're talented, smart, and quite famous because of your handsome look. You're not that hard to be liked or loved. It's just that, you need to find someone who will appreciate, value, and love you and I think that person is not me" I said looking directly at his eyes. He looked away but looked back at me and slowly nodded his head. I just offered a smile to him.

"By the way, how's the training? Is Niki already healed? No fracture?" I asked to lighten up the mood

"Yes just a little injury but he can play for the championship, I believe in that" He smiled while eating his food.

"Do you have classes this afternoon? It's already 12:30"

"Yeah it's fine, it will begin at 2:30"
He just nodded.

"Choi Soobin? Why are you here? With a new date? I'll definitely gonna report this to aunt" suddenly a short girl who looked like a sloth showed up in our table. I guess the other two tall girls were with her.

"Lia noona! It should be me asking you why are you here? As far as I can remember, your school's a bit distant from here?" The girl looked at him and me. Crossing her hands.

"So, who's this pretty girl? Care to introduce us with your date?" She wiggled her brows. I just faked a cough.

"Ah!. this is Lia noona, my cousin. That's Yuna, and lastly Karina" Soobin introduced them to me.

"Who said we're friends" the girls named Yuna and Karina said in unison. I laughed with that.

"Okay, okay. Girls, this is Hwang Yeji. My senior and she's our Side Court Reporter"

The girls looked at each other with shocked look.

"So, you're Hwang Yeji. Oh god, you're so pretty! I'm Yuna, nice meeting you, unnie" She said excitedly

"Hi, I'm Karina! I like your eyes. You looked like a cat, so cute. She's not joking when she said that miss girl's a drop dead gorgeous" Karina said, the last lines was just murmuring to her friends but I still heard it.

"Lia. Just call me honey" the shorter girl said which earned an 'ew' expression to the two girls beside her.

"Hello guys, nice meeting you too" I waved and smiled at them

"OMFG! She's even more gorgeous when she smiled" I heard Yuna spoke softly.

"Would you like to sit with us?" I offered

"Oh. No thanks, we'll just sit on the other side. I think you're both about to finish eating" They waved goodbye and sat on the other table where we can still see them.

Isn't the development of the story quite slow? But I love this being slow :)
