Tuesday.

Chaeryeong and I already finished our miniature design. We will bring that here at the school tomorrow.

Both of us are now back to our regular classes. We're no longer VIP, which is a little bit sad.

It's lunchtime. Chaeryeong said she has to go somewhere and left me after we reported to Mr. Jeon.

I don't want to eat lunch all alone. Other girls from our block invited me to go with them but I refused. Because I think of inviting Yeji to eat with me instead.

So I texted her.

Me: Where are you? Are you busy? Let's eat together🥺

Less than a minute she replied.

Yeddeong:
Why? You're not with Chaeryeong?

Me: She left me. She said she has to do something.

Yeddeong:
Well, I have a lot of things to do as well.

I got sad. Guess I'll eat alone. But then she messaged me again which formed a smile on my lips.

Yeddeong:
Where are you? Wait me there, then.

I texted her my location. After five minutes she's in front of me catching her breath.

"Excited to see me, aren't we?" I said while giving her a teasing smile. She just chuckled.

"Where are we gonna eat?"

"At your place" I didn't meant to say this.

"No, sorry. I only have 30 minutes lunch break. I have to meet the other SCRs"

"Just kidding. Let's find a peaceful korean restaurant outside" I said wiggling my brows. Feeling so excited that she's gonna eat with me.

" Okay. Let's go" She then grabbed my left hand as we walk outside the campus.

"You're the busiest communication student that I've known as of this moment" I said while having my beef bulgogi. She ordered the same dish.

She did not answer me because she's  focused on eating which I find weird.
After some time, I heard her silent crying noise and I panicked.

"Yeddeong, why the fuck are you crying?" I run beside her to calm her down.

"This is the best..*sniff* the best bulgogi that I've ever tasted. My dad's the best, but I have to admit this is so good. I miss my dad. I miss them, I wanna go home." She said while looking at me with teary eyes.

I couldn't stop bursting out. Oh my god, this kid beside me really.

"That's all, yeddeong?" I asked her with a wide smile showing my whisker dimples.  She just nodded.

I wrapped my right arm around her shoulders and wiped the single tear that fell from her eye using my other hand.

"I'm sorry. But did I heard you cursing at me?" She looked at me while innocently asking me that question.
