Throughout the day and continuing to the rest of the week, Papyrus still remembered that nightmare and it made it extremely difficult to keep his bubbly voice in the high zone of his speech when his nightmare has been increasing its intensity over every other night. Those words of his brother's name weren't much of help than what Papyrus needed, let alone actually Sans's voice gathering his full attention. He let Sans stay home for a majority of the day till it got dark and let time keep Sans with him at all costs. After that horrific dream about that human and how many of those 'dreams' were actually resets to accept, Papyrus didn't really take it the way he always taken bad situations. It's like someone was watching him all of a sudden and he has to make sure it wasn't happening to Sans, otherwise Papyrus would be in complete self-debt. He's learned something about what that 'voice' meant when they asked if he was truly strong. Sure, Papyrus has said before about himself, but did he really take that chance to see if he was what he says he is. It didn't help when he kept remembering Flowey's question about his progress on his training with Undyne. It's been almost six years since that first day of training and how come she never gave out that chance of a trial fight? Papyrus felt guilty for not having an answer to any of the questions welcoming themselves into his head. Though Sans started to question him about his new behavior, but eventually pushed it aside whenever Papyrus made a reasonable explanation like he was tired or just needed some fresh air from a small headache.

Every.single.time. Sans believed him.

Just a day back, Papyrus accidentally walked in during Sans's conversation with a human in the Snowy Forest. Those visions of that human in green came up to Papyrus while he hid in the trees. This young looking human almost looked identical to the one in his dream, except the only difference was that they were wearing a blue sweater with a purple stripe. The human didn't notice Papyrus hiding in the trees, however, the tall skeleton still felt afraid for his brother more than himself. Why would he for himself? It's Sans he is afraid of losing. From the wide bridge he made, Sans led the small human towards his sentry station. Papyrus followed close behind and hoped he didn't make much noise, but he wished he couldn't hear his own soul racing and waiting for that human to make any wrong moves so Papyrus could take it. The conversation tended to be not as well as Papyrus excepted it to be, and he tried to be calm about it, but this time he wasn't gonna be on the trusting page this time. What if this human was just that killer human in disguise and is playing innocent.

He knew it was weird and bad to spy on monsters like what he's doing, but he would rather be ready to block whatever move the human was about to pull on his older brother. It's at least one thing he can pay Sans back after being there and alive for him. Soon enough, the two parted way and a smile was on the human's face. It was sweet and calm and now harming and scary like Papyrus dreamt of before. Like in his nature, Papyrus's guard dropped only a little. He observed the human happily walk down the lighter path of snow. He made the made dash and jump through the trees. He's trained on how to run through the trees and jump over to the next branch sturdy to his quick thinking. Papyrus got back to sans and noticed him at the big purple gate blocking off the mystery of whoever laid back there.

"Sans?"

"Oh! Pap, you're never gonna believe this."

"What is it?!" asked Papyrus, sounding slightly ecstatic.

"I just ran into a human just now and boy oh boy they are the kind type." Sans said, having that smile of hope for his brother.

Soon deep down to Papyrus's soul, his enthusiasm went away and was replaced with worried feelings in case something he has missed.
