Moving Day

One week later,

Days turned to weeks in UnderFell and that one date for the surface was according to plan with the King. Every monster in dark clothes was extremely hostile and excited to become one with the surface again, only as a promise to follow humanity's laws, being greatly acknowledged by the head guards. Papyrus took the time from the week of his trial battle to sleep and think to himself. What a test he never prepared for, but how come he managed to draw blood on accident before the purpose? Was this Fell risen ruler trying to make it easy for him? No, that sounds illogical for a harsh ruler to go easy on anybody like that, unless it's his ex-wife.

Not only did the look Fell Asgore gave Papyrus before assigning him time to sit, Papyrus was becoming more and more on edge with his thinking and attacks. He didn't learn how to make red bones on his own and it wasn't much of a coincidence that he knows enough self control to know to shoot down at the king through the weak spot. It would've broken his own rule of fairness. But was it truly his fault for the influence of the Fells to give him such a gift without remorse?

Speaking of guilt, Papyrus's dreams have grown much darker to where he couldn't see so much of his surroundings and have those genocidal dreams come alive, but in the form of another human, not the one in green anymore. His imaginative night insomnia only created a beast of the dark, short hair covering their eyes and a slaying ability much beyond what the other human did to his friends and family. Every time he woke up, he tried to stay quiet for either Edge or Betta, depending on where he slept and whose place he stayed at for the night. And if he REALLY felt that new bone attack coming in the form of excessive tears, there would always be a dry place in Hotland for him to choke by himself in an empty corner.

He was careful about what he tells his new friends, but righteous about his guarded gut, now having caution tape everywhere in his heart. His soul didn't handle well at all and the crack inside only got bigger as time progressed. Although he would take time to and at least try to forgive Undyne for her words, Papyrus still burst into tears whenever he tried to think of those words.

Same thing for Sans as well, how can he apologize to Sans for being an inconsiderate younger brother when he tries so hard to be his protection through thick and thin. How can he explain to Sans he has failed to get his dream and life on track. Mettaton as well, oh the robot better be smart enough to not stay with him after his disappearance from Undertale. It would be the smart thing to do to avoid getting your heartbroken; Papyrus learned his lesson when he found out about his dream. He wouldn't stay too close either and he wishes he can tell Mettaton everything.

He wanted to go home but also didn't at the same time. He would think about how he was home again, but then again, he wasn't home anymore in his OWN house. Papyrus is forever confused until he can learn why, and vice versa with living on the surface and returning back to Snowdin. Nobody would want a traitor like him to return; the voice would spat at him from within. Anyone who did would either be desperate or an idiot like Papyrus, the voice kept going on any occasion when he was alone.

Edge's overprotective instincts have become imprinted onto Papyrus more than the first time and it translated into private dates with Mettafell whenever he got time away from Fell Asgore or longer conversations with Red after a long dinner of nothing but evil puns. Same thing goes for Betta with her relationship with Al, which seemed to have gone bad before Papyrus because Betta has been more flirtatious whenever Al came over for some time away from the computer. He felt happy to become something for once but once all of it was solved, what other purpose did Papyrus have? Why did he seem purposeless when he doesn't realize the love he's creating among his new friends?

Papyrus would always ask himself these questions everyday...and never let anyone answer him, fearful of what trouble he would get into.
