Ode to a Purple Tree

Walking outside among the trees
and I happen to see one with purple leaves.
As I was getting close to it
I felt something I never did.
Like a force was pulling me toward
the majestic tree coloured unsually.

When I finally reached it
I stopped wondering with curiousity.
A few steps closer and I touched a leaf.
'So it is real', I thought in disbelief.
I stepped even closer, touching a branch
and it seemed so fragile, it might've break.

I went under the tree tops
and it was a different world:
sun rays were cutting through the leaves
like it was a stained glass in a curch.
Birds were singing in harmony
a simple melody that made my heart pound.

I could feel the vibrant universe around me!
And I was there: just living, breathing the air.
And it was peace, it was perfection.
It was a secret I had to protect.
It was just beauty and it was divine,
A paradise and it was all mine.
