A month passed by, after your mother took her last breath, the Madrigals were kind enough to give you their condolences for your mother and they even placed her gravestone right beside of their colorful house.

The funeral weren't that smooth because your father caused a ruckus on your mother's casket, you couldn't do anything but watch him with sad eyes while staying silent for the rest of the day.

Camilo and Mirabel both didn't leave you alone after meeting you, the two of them would trail behind you like a lost puppies while wagging their tails behind them, they would stick close to your side to keep you company so you wouldn't have to cry alone.

They stayed beside you, comforting while doing their best to make you smile, laugh and happy but their efforts became futile in the end because you'll still cry once the night fall when everyone are already in their bed, sleeping or making some naughty gremlins.

Dolores would stay awake until late to make sure that you have go to bed, if you weren't still sleeping then Isabella and Luisa will come over in the middle of the night to have a sleep over with you so you wouldn't feel alone.

Now, that one of the pest is out of their way, they just needed to get rid of the next one.

"Goodmorning, mi querida!" Camilo greeted you cheerfully.

You only stared at him blankly before walking away from the front door to continue preparing your breakfast, Camilo and Mirabel both looked at each other before smiling widely.

The two of them run inside your house and they slammed the door close behind them once they got inside, Camilo was the first one to step inside the kitchen and his hazel eyes brightened up at the sight of your struggling form that is trying to reach for the water pitcher above the cupboards.

"She look so adorable!" Mirabel whispered, shaking Camilo roughly once she stopped to watch you struggle all by yourself.

They love seeing any sort of expression on your face, they don't care if you're covered with mud, tears, or snot because you will still look breathtaking for the two of them and no one can change their minds.

Mirabel giggled when you let out a victory gasp when you finally grasped the handle of the pitcher, your eyes sparkled at your little achievement before jumping down from the stool then you turned your body to face them.

"Can you please fill thus water, cami?" You asked, holding out the plastic water pitcher towards the flustered shapeshifter who gladly took it from your hands.

He didn't say anything and just run past you.

Camilo can feel his whole face getting warm just by hearing your little nickname for him, his heart skipped a beat from the happiness and excitement that you gave him by giving him something to do.

"How about me?" Mirabel huffed, catching your attention and her question left you confused.

"Why are you pouting?" You furrowed your brows, tilting your head as you silently questioned her sudden change in behavior which only made the little girl sadder.

"You gave my cousin a nickname while you haven't given me one! It's unfair!" Mirabel exclaimed, her big doe eyes glistening with tears as she reached out to touch your hand and you hurriedly hold hers in a calming manner.

"Is it okay to call you mariposa? Then I'll call him chameleon because those two little adorable creatures reminds me of you two." You stated, your small hand grasping her soft cheek and she immediately leaned into your touch.

Camilo quickly shifted back to himself when he heard what you said to his cousin, his heart beats faster inside his chest out of joy and content upon the nickname that you gave him although, he can't help but feel envious when he saw that you were holding Mirabel's cheek.

"I'm done!" The shapeshifter intentionally screamed so you'll pull your hand away from his cousin's cheek and he smiled brightly when you turned to him with a small smile on your face.

"Thank you so much, chameleon." You mused towards the boy jokingly.

You turned away from them and continued where you left off from preparing your snacks and breakfast.

You didn't know how much you affected the two young Madrigals on your kitchen, just by hearing your voice and seeing you smile are enough to drive them to insanity.

So you can only imagine how happy they must have felt when you blessed them by giving them a nickname that only you can call them. They don't care if you decided to call them with other crude nicknames because they will still kneel and thank you for it.

Just by letting them go inside your house, just by letting them by your side to bask within your godly presence are enough to give them a reason to protect you away from the harm and people that will go into your way.

The butterflies inside their chest could only flutter happily as you continued to walk around the kitchen to pack the snacks you will have for the day.

"Did Señora Alma say for me to go to la casa madrigal today?" You asked, putting the plastic containers on the basket before picking it up and turning to them with a questioning gaze.

Mirabel shook her head, just finished imagining a life with you inside their house.

"Yep! Abuela told us to pick you up!" The little girl exclaimed as she slipped her arm with yours, "Isn't that right, primo?"

Upon hearing his name, he blinked slowly and raised an eyebrow when Mirabel gave him a pointed look before the realization sink into his brain which made him nod his head uncontrollably.

"Si! She said to pick you up since mi hermana wanted to have you by her side today!" Camilo smiled widely and slipped his arm in yours, just from the opposite side of Mirabel as he took the basket from you so he can hold your hand.

Mirabel saw this and decided to do the same, she locked her fingers with yours and Camilo happily did the same before the two of them guided you out of the house, they need to get you out of there because the plan must be done tonight.

Luisa is in charged of getting rid of your beloved father who still managed to survive after Julieta slipped some poisonous bread into his meal three weeks ago.

His existence is an annoyance for them and that only pushed them to get rid of him quickly so they can finally have you to stay in the magical house.

"Ah, our little flower is so cute right between Camilo and Mirabel." Agustin gushed beside his wife.

Julieta turned to her daughter, she raised her hand to brush the nonexistent dirt on your skirt and gave Luisa a gentle smile.

"Don't fail, okay? Make sure to do your job properly, mija." The beautiful woman cooed sweetly towards her daughter, to which Luisa nodded her head confidently with a smile that shadowed her mother's smile.

"The pest must get rid of immediately and you're the only person who's perfect for that."
