The smirk on his face reappeared as his fingers pushed a lock of my dark hair behind my ear, making me cringe against his soft touch, but I didn't move away.

"I knew you'd figure it out." He booped my nose. His green eyes racked over my body slowly as the smirk disappeared and a frown replaced it, his brows scrunching a bit. "No need to be frightened of me, I'm not here to hurt you."

"Then what are you here for?" I asked, almost regretting it, unsure if I was going to like his answer.

"To help you."

I rose a brow and backed up a step, my back almost hit the glass of Elijah's cage as I felt the vibration of his brutal hits to it, but my eyes remained on the norse god before me. "Excuse me?" I asked with a chuckle.

"The other Callahan has trapped me in this god forsaken place." He began to explain, his green orbs meeting my blues. "I just want to go home."

"Why would he do that?" I questioned, trying to mentally work on how my father managed to capture an actual god.

He shrugged. "A man of power with an insane mind will do anything to gain more power."

"Until a few weeks ago, I thought my father was dead."

"Months. It's been months, dear.. if you haven't realized your overgrown lap dog's hair has grown quite a bit since you bit the bullet."

I narrowed my eyes at his nickname for Aiden, protectiveness washing over me. "Do you have a problem with my husband?" I rose a brow, defiantly.

"I have a problem with his right hook." He rubbed the side of his face where I remember Aiden knocking him to the ground. Still not sure if Aiden actually did over power him or if Loki pretended to go down.

I let out a chuckle, feeling my old cocky self rising back to the surface. "Aww, didn't realize the trickster god was a little bitch."

He narrowed his eyes at me now. "I think the word you're searching for is sensitive."

I shook my head. "Nahh, it's little bitch." I stepped away from him, keeping my eyes firm on him for any sudden movements to detect he might try and fight me for that retort. "But that's what you get for provoking him."

"I had to."

"You had to pretend to kiss me?"

He nodded, turning his body slightly towards me. "Would you have rather I actually kissed you?"

I clicked my tongue. "Not really into red heads."

"That wasn't a no." He countered.

I rose my eyebrow. "You never answered my question as to why my father has you here."

His eyes moved from side to side, to the cages around us as he flicked his hands around then to me. "Why do you think?"

I stared at him confused as to what he was suggesting.

Loki let out a sigh. "What do you think is running through your veins right now?"

I looked down at my arm, the healthy veins in my white skin. That tan I had gotten while we were away was truly gone now.  "Don't you dare tell me your blood is mixed in with mine."

"Where do you think you got your abilities from? A cat? A vampire?" He scoffed. "The new serum that Aiden, you and a few others have.. it's just a drop of me."

I looked up at him with disbelief, shaking my head. There was no way they could do this. "How can humans possess the power of a god?"

"I thought you'd never ask." He smiled, walking closer to me in thought. "You see, waaaay before you were a gleam in your father's nut sack, I was bored and decided to visit this lovely realm." He swirled his finger in the air. "I was curious.. and one thing led to another.. and well.." He rose his eyebrows, suggestively.
