Sewer

Turning around I looked at the door, hearing commotion from upstairs. I heard struggling and guns going off, and my heart began to beat faster in my chest. By the booted feet I heard, I knew it was Exodus agents. The realization hit me as I turned back to Tyler who was struggling in his chains trying to stand.

"You're chipped aren't you?" I asked through my teeth. I was mad. Mad at myself mostly for not checking, but I wasn't sure if they still chipped agents out in the field.

"You never bothered to ask, dummy. Now let me out of here."

I pointed my gun at his chest. "Name. Now." I ordered.

"Get me out of here and I will tell you." He yanked on the chains angrily.

I moved my aim towards his shoulder and let a bullet fly into his skin. I tilted my head slightly as he backed up a step and groaned in pain.

"You bitch!"

"Name. Now." I repeated, moving my aim from his shoulder to his groin.

Tyler's eyes trailed down to his crotch before giving me an annoyed glare. "You can't keep threatening my manhood, Callahan. Low blow, even for you."

"Then just give me the fucking name."

"How about no." He countered.

I fired off another bullet just above his sternum. His back hit the concrete wall and he panted heavily, angry.

"That's enough." He muttered to himself. He pulled against his arm restraints again, and with a swift motion, his upper body was free. He yanked off the chains to his ankles making him completely free.

Great. Just great.

As Tyler stood up straight he smirked at me. "Don't look so surprised, Princess."

I shuddered at the word. He kept calling me that, and it pissed me off. As he took a step forward and launched another two bullets into his chest. I watched as he stood there frozen as blood began seeping out of his wounds before he fell back.

"Well there goes that lead." I shook my head. That was not what I wanted to do. He was the only lead we had and was just about to give me information. I sighed to myself and put another bullet to his stomach, just in case before I began to walk up the stairs, hearing the fighting still in motion.

I took the first step up when my body got lifted over the wood railing and flung to the concrete wall like a rag doll. I put my hands in front of me as I fell to the ground with a groan. My back arched in pain from the impact but willed myself to get on all fours and looked at Tyler who was laughing, stalking towards me slowly.

"Let me guess. Hubby didn't tell you we couldn't die, huh?" He rose a brow and kicked my ribs hard, sending me backwards once again. "Well we can, just not in the normalcy of it."

You gotta be fucking kidding me.

"Nope." He said crouching down before me and fixed my hair out of my face.

I flinched at his touch, trying to back up more away from him but I was caught between him and the wall.

"Now, how many times were you warned not to trust him, huh? You think I was the only one they were tracking? Tsk tsk."

Just as quick as he was there, the next he was gone, replaced by a bloody Xavier who looked pissed the hell off. More than I ever saw. His veins under his eyes were popping up like crazy, making his blue eyes stand out, to the point where they were scary to look at.

"We gotta get out of here." He said.

I looked behind him, seeing Tyler rushing towards us after Xavier flung him backwards like a rag doll to save me. Xavier looked at the wall, looking rather annoyed before he turned around, digging his arm inside of Tyler's chest, ripping his body in two.

My eyes widened, letting out a breath watching as the body dropped to the floor. Xavier wiped his red soaked hands on his black jeans that was stained in the same color. More booted feet came from upstairs as they walked around the wooden floor. I grabbed my gun that was on the floor and nudged for Xavier to walk forward as I headed for the other side of the basement.

I nudged my fingers in through the crack of the concrete wall before pushing the heavy block. I had installed a solid concrete hidden door in case I needed a simple getaway like right now.

"Where's that go to?" Xavier whispered, helping me with the door.

"Get in and find out." I said, getting the door open just enough for us to squeeze through.

I stepped inside the dark tunnel and pointed my gun outward. Thankfully I was able to see in the dark, otherwise this would have been shitty. I calculated my steps, coming out to be around 101.

"There should be a door.. Right.." I grabbed my phone and used the light to look for the door I had created. I looked down at the stone I had placed right next to it, marking it in case I needed to. "..here." I nudged my head towards the door to Xavier, silently asking him to open it since I had my hands full with the gun and the light source.

Xavier sighed, looking for the crack and pulled it open with hardly any issues on his part. He opened it just enough for us once again before turning back and giving me a fed up look.

"Seriously.. The sewer?" He said.

"You have a better idea, genius? Helicopter overhead, agents on our asses.. Where do you suggest we go?"

His jaw tightened and rolled his eyes, muttering a 'fine', before walking into the dark sewer.

I followed him close by, reminding myself of how the streets were. Right now we were standing up the block from the house.

"Where's Aiden?" I asked him before choosing a direction.

"Told me to tell you to meet him at the rendezvous spot."

Rendezvous spot.. I thought. Oh.. that one.

"Okay. I need you to go to Frank's and watch him. He's the weakest link right now. I don't know if they'll go after him but I can't take any chances. Grab my brother and hide out at Frank's."

"What am I your personal babysitter now?"

I let out a breath. "Xavier.. Please. Serious shit is going down and you're one of the few I can trust you keeping my family safe right now."

His expression changed quickly. "Aww, that's sweet of you." He gagged on his words quickly before giving me a smirk. "Fine, I'll keep an eye on them. Could use a shower anyway."

"Thank you. I'll keep you updated on our next move."

He nodded. "Oh.. also. Who's Richard Callahan?"

The name coming off his lips made me freeze in place. It was out of left field. "Why?"

Xavier raised an eyebrow. "Well it was what the kid kept thinking over and over again. Same last name as you. Father, I'm assuming?"

"What?" I muttered silently to myself as I nodded at his question. I stared at him. "Was there anything else he was thinking?"

"No, his mind was blank. Aiden was trying to get something out of him. It wasn't until Aiden left he started to think that name over and over like some sort of message."

My mind replayed the interaction between Tyler and I. He was about to say something until the explosion happened.

"You okay, look like you seen a ghost?" He noted.

I blinked rapidly. "Yeah I'm fine, just go. I'll call you soon." I put my gun between my lower back and my jeans and took off in the opposite direction of the sewer.
