INFO: Lucius' infatuation is very intense and may not make complete sense to an outsider's perspective as it is a true obsession.
This beginning section will give context as to what has started to happen that the reader does not know of.
————————————
The days passed by slowly, as you were left alone by both Malfoy's.
Lucius was busy cleaning up his dirty work, while Draco was too afraid to confront his own emotions and feelings towards you.
Alfie the house elf would give frequent updates on you to Lucius. You spent more time with Alfie as he became your friend, but were unaware that he was simultaneously spying on you for Lucius.
What you also did not know, was that Lucius was busy destroying any evidence possible that showed what truly happened to Hogwarts.
And that Potter had lived.
Any newspapers, posts about your parents looking for you, or attempts for the school to contact you were shut down by Lucius. Nothing was coming in or out of those doors that he did not approve first. The servants brought back had to adhere to these rules as well, if they wanted to stay employed at the manor. Lucius paid them an extraordinary amount of money to cook for you, be at your hand and foot, essentially making your life perfect at the mansion.
They had all chatted amongst themselves that they'd never seen Lucius quite like this before. They tended to you and treated you like a princess but would purposefully drop in lies every now and then to make Lucius happy. Mentioning how sad it was that Potter had died, and how lucky they were to have been employed by Lucius with Voldemort now wreaking havoc on the outside world.
As the little seeds were planted in your head, you were consumed with horrible thoughts of what life might look like outside those doors. The safety you began to feel in that bedroom made you want to stay there forever.
Just as he had planned...
But truthfully, Lucius had never been a nice man.
He was not a good father, nor a good husband. He treated everyone around him with no respect and was a heinous man in every sense.
But you...
You were the one thing he never knew he needed until he saw you for the first time.
Beautiful and young, loyal beyond belief. Staring innocently at him with those wide, lost eyes.
He could see that you were empty inside and confused from the war. Overly apologetic, feeling like you had no one. You were alone and scared which made Lucius feel an immediate, overwhelming need to keep you safe and protect you from any harm.
He also believed that you were perfect.
Absolutely, mind boggling perfect.
Lucius immediately knew that keeping you in the dark was the only way to keep you safe with him and he was willing to do whatever necessary to convince you that the manor was your new home.
Truthfully, he had impressed even his own self, with how tediously he had planned it all to convince you that the world as you knew it had vanished. Lucius thought that there was almost an art to how believable he had made the whole story. And after all of that, he would be damned if you didn't believe every word of it. Threatening Draco, he made him swear to follow this story as well or he would be disowned and cast out of the family for good.
Draco, terrified of a life on his own with no one but himself, agreed to this. He didn't know why he felt compassion for you, or what on Earth was so special about you that made him so weak, but it didn't matter. Draco would attempt to push down his feelings and stay out of the mess his father was creating as best as he could.
