Hinata had no idea where to look or what to do, she just avoided looking up at all costs. That was, without a doubt, the worst scene she had ever seen: the worst lunch in the entire history of mankind.

A tense silence hung over the table as all that could be heard was the clink of cutlery.

In front of him, Naruto still seemed to try to swallow the story by slowly eating a piece of noble meat. Himari, his mother, tried to change that mood by talking to Minato, who also pretended not to notice the mood that was hovering.

And Hinata.

Well, Hinata only stirred her food and once another took a forkful in her mouth, although she could feel the acidity of it all when she swallowed.

"We're getting married next Saturday," Minato announced. – We know it was very early, but I have to travel to Tokyo on Sunday, I have things to do and we had already postponed what we wanted for too long. I hope you don't mind.

There was a muttering coming from Naruto, which sounded like " as if you called" .

"Son, did you say something?"

— No, father, I just wish you well.

"Oh, but let's be happy, dear," his mother said softly. "Hinata is a lovely girl, she won't fight or anything like that. I'm a good person too and I know how exemplary you are, your father told me all about you. Splendid, Naruto, the golden boy!

"Thank you, Mistress Hyuuga.

"Call me Himari," he asked.

— Himari.

Hinata almost threw up her lunch right there. It looked like her mother was selling two cattle: she and Naruto, showing how good the two were for slaughter.

Ignoring this, Hinata gently placed the tablecloth on the table and pushed back the chair.

- License.

And quickly walked anywhere abroad. First, she thought about going to the bathroom, but she hadn't asked where it was and the door to the huge garden was already a lot easier. So she headed for the exit, holding back not to run, as she could already feel the food coming back. It wasn't until she could breathe in the scent of the gardenias and azaleas from the Namikaze mansion's garden that the nausea finally subsided.

This couldn't be happening. Seriously, it could only be a bad joke. In fact, she'd never been so sure it was a prank.

What was your mother's problem? Did she have to decide to marry Minato right away? Naruto Uzumaki's father! Oh my god, she thought, closing her eyes and trying to breathe.

He didn't need a panic attack here, in that place, not now. She took a deep breath trying to focus. Somewhere, she could hear his cell phone ringing, but even he gave up on his person after a while. Hinata couldn't go back to the table.

When he lifted his head from where he was supporting her, Naruto was beside him, hands inside the pockets of his jeans and a black shirt, staring into space.

— My father asked me to show you his room.

In the silence, both could hear their parents talking:

"Will she be able to handle this?" – asked Minato, worried.

"Of course you will, my love. Just give her some space and everything will be fine, it wasn't very easy last time for her, a lot of things happened. She just needs a space

"I hope she accepts us as her family.

"She will. Naruto is a magnificent boy, he will know how to get around the situation.
