"Look who decided to grace us with her presence", Randy joked.
"Hey Randy, it's nice to see you too again", Sidney smiled. Randy quickly abandoned his post behind the counter and wrapped Sidney in a hug. She was taken aback but she leaned in eventually.
"It's been so long, how have you been?" He set her free from his almost crushing grasp.
"Good", she smiled thoughtfully. "Really good", she elaborated.
"Yeah...". He ran an awkward hand through his hair.
"Hello?" Tatum said in annoyance. "I'm right here, dipshit", she announced.
"Yeah, I kind of forgot you were there. How are you doing on this fine day, Tatum?" Randy asked uninterested in Tatum's wellbeing.
She ignored his tone. "I'm doing very well, thank you very much". She sat down on a cozy chair next to the window. Sidney sat down next, on the couch. "Randy?" She asked as she fluttered her unnaturally long eyelashes at him.
"Yes Tatum?" He mocked her overexaggerated movements.
"Could we get a few free drinks, please?"
"Seriously?"
"Yes, seriously", her tone turned dry.
"Randy, Tatum's joking, you really don't have to", Sidney said.
"No, it's okay", he was glad to do it for Sidney. "It's fine".
"Are you sure Randy?" Sidney asked, reluctant.
"Yeah, totally, It's fine. I do it all the time".
"Well, if you're sure", she shrugged her shoulders.
"I'll have a latte with whipped cream and almond milk", Tatum piped in.
"Are you sure about the whipped cream, Tatum?" Randy smirked.
"What's that supposed to mean?" Tatum asked, slightly irritated by his comment.
"Nothing", he raised his hands up in surrender.
"Ughh", she grunted as she stopped inspecting her hair in the tiny mirror that was previously clutched in her hands.
"I'll have a latte with almond milk too, thanks Randy". She smiled gratefully.
"No problem", he smiled back and left.
"Can you believe him?" Tatum sighed, annoyed. "Are you sure about the whipped cream, Tatum?" She imitated Randy's voice dreadfully. "What's that supposed to mean anyways?"
"Tatum, he was just joking".
"He's a total dipshit", Tatum muttered under her breath. She shook her head and exhaled deeply to remove Randy's irritating voice from her head. "Anyways, are you excited about tonight or are you still dreading it?"
"I guess I'm kind of indifferent".
"Well, I guess indifference is better than dread", she shrugged. "What should I wear tonight?" She asked Sidney.
"I don't know Tatum, something nice?" She encouraged.
"Something nice? Really Sid? It's a huge party, sexy is the way to go".
"Whatever you say Tatum", she chuckled.
"I'm thinking about wearing my tight one shoulder top with the red miniskirt".
"You mean the micro skirt, the not so very practical one?"
"That's the one!"
"Tatum, one wrong move and everyone at that party will know what you're underwear looks like".
