She left the garage and went back to the kitchen. She frantically and erratically opened a couple of drawers in search of the knife drawer, once she found it, she quickly wrapped her hand around a gorgeous glistening chef's knife. She was furious over the chain of events that led her to this very moment. Billy would no longer listen to her, she had no control over him anymore, nothing was working. Could she really trust him if she couldn't properly control and manipulate him? She was not so sure anymore. She had no idea of what she was capable of anymore, if push came to shove, could she really do it? Could she really kill Billy to protect herself? The idea of plunging a knife into his heart saddened her slightly, she really did adore him, she had never felt this way about anybody else, she never had any sort of lingering empathy for anyone else but him, Billy Loomis. She always chose herself before anyone else, it was just her way, there was nobody else that could warrant a second thought until now. The last couple of days were actually good, strangely good, a lot had changed, she had finally relented and allowed herself to pursue a romantic relationship with Billy. It was good while it lasted but all good things must come to an end. Was this really it? Was this really the end? Billy was perfect and she couldn't even make it work with him, she must really be doomed to repeat the same mistakes over and over again. But Billy was not a mistake, he was the one and she couldn't even make it work with the one, she was really just another hopeless monster. She wondered what life would be like if she managed to plunge a knife into his beating heart, what would her life after Billy look like? Was there really anything else after Billy? Was it even worth it? She would have to leave the quiet town of Woodsboro, leave everything behind, every little trinket, every bittersweet memory. She could not fathom staying here if there was no Billy, could she even live with herself if she murdered him? Was her life worth more than his? She could not truly answer that, they had both done such horrible and unfathomable things, such terrifying deeds, the stuff of nightmares really, perhaps they were equally matched in their monstrous ways.
She lifted the knife high and swiped it low, it was light, beautiful and glittering. She practiced her movements, they were swift and fluid, almost like a meticulously rehearsed dance, her execution revealed a deeper truth about her, she was very much comfortable with a dangerous sharp object in her hand, she relished the feeling, it was almost intoxicating. Who could really wrap their hands around a knife without conjuring the image of them plunging it into someone's gut or heart? After contact, the blood would begin to flow, the red stream unstoppable and fast, the perpetrator bathed in crimson, it was a most chilling and exhilarating image, one could not deny the monster that loomed inside any longer.
She admired her reflection through the shiny reflective surface, a figure promptly appeared behind her, a handsome face with a ghost of a smile on his lips. She continued to peer at her reflection through the knife, at both of their reflections, there was something alluring and appealing about the way they both appeared. The way he stood behind her, just waiting for her to turn around, he appeared as some sort of phantom, a hallucination even, but he was really there and he too was admiring their reflections through the glistening instrument of death.
She lowered the knife and turned her body around to face him, he stood with his back against the counter, his hands gripping the marble surface.
"Did you miss me?" He asked, the slight smile was still on his face.
"Maybe", she took a step towards him.
"You were gone for a while", he remarked.
"I needed to take a breather".
