Ana wandered through the hallways of the large, unfamiliar mansion, slightly gasping for air. She needed a lot of time to digest this information. A lot of things had become clear to Anastasia at this point.
First, she was made out of an affair. More like she was forced to be born out of an affair. Second, her entire family including her 3 year old sister had died only because she was born. It was her fault. Thirdly, she had no control over her immense powers growing up. The coven that raised her abused her, pushing her off her limits and grooming her to reach her true potentials. There were days when Ana would have enough of practicing that she would cry out of exhaustion and had no control over her feelings, which made her magic out of control as a little girl.
The whispers had only started when she was forcefully made to kill a vampire for the first time at the age of 10. Things had gotten worse when she was forcefully made to kill a human to trigger her werewolf curse. The whispers mainly influenced her, giving her instructions in her mind. But, she was still a person of her own and tried to fight the urge to kill vampires. Unfortunately, she couldn't.
Fourth, she loved a person who she was destined to kill. All this while, she thought that it was the witch spirits that manipulated her. But, her feelings were real. Had she not resisted and given in, she maybe wouldn't have been a vampire and wasted so many years with Katherine.
Fifth, she was paying the price for falling in love with Klaus. And it was one hell of a big price to pay.
Sixth, she was basically an Original without the compulsion ability. And she was Klaus' soulmate or something?
Lastly, in order to escape from her personal living hell, she had to fall in love with him and do....things. Ana didn't see that happening anytime soon, considering Klaus was still angry for her betrayal.
Ana's breathing became heavier as all the blood rushed to her face. Tears pooled in her eyes as she clutched her chest and tried taking deep breaths. Her chest felt heavy and her vision blurred. She slowly walked through the corridors and leaned on the wall for support. The more she tried to breathe, the more her chest and throat felt constricted. Her legs wobbled as she almost collapsed onto the floor. Two strong arms grabbed her as tears rolled down her cheeks.
"Ana?" Came Klaus' soft voice as she blinked hard a few times. Ana didn't say anything as she only struggled to breath and let out choked and strained sobs. Klaus pulled her into his embrace as he rubbed her back and stroked her hair to calm her down. Ana's cries now turned into complete sobs as she cried her eyes out. Klaus was confused as to what had make her cry so much. In the time he had spent with her, she was always a confident woman with a dangerous and powerful aura. Never had he seen her so vulnerable. But, he didn't know even half the story.

Ana took one last glance at herself in the mirror and brushed a hair strand from her face. After her meltdown, she fixed her makeup and pulled herself together, looking just as gorgeous as when she first walked in. Klaus watched her with crossed arms and a concerned expression. Ana made eye contact with him through the mirror and sighed, turning around.
"Ok, here's what we will do. We will keep this little....episode between ourselves and not say a word to anyone." Ana said, more like demanded. Klaus pretended to think for a moment as she glared.
"Will do, love. But you owe me an explanation for what you did. I mourned you for centuries and as thrilled as I am to see you in the flesh, I need to know the truth." He said, angry about her betrayal.
"And what happened to love is a vampire's greatest weakness, Anastasia is only a mere distraction, blah blah?" Ana asked, raising an eyebrow and glaring at him.
"I only said that to distract myself from the fact that I was.....drawn.....to you. After spending centuries without you, I realized how much I liked you. You realize how much you love someone only after you lose them." Klaus mumbled as Ana sighed sadly. She walked closer to him and placed a hand on his shoulder.
"I know and I'm sorry. I just met your mother and she revealed some rather disturbing things which I need some time to process. But I promise you love, I will give you answers." Ana said softly. His eyebrows shot up in surprise as he frowned.
"That's why I saw you leave with Finn. Did she hurt you?" Klaus asked and Ana shook her head, denying.
"We should head downstairs. Damon's probably looking for me." She said as she walked downstairs, Klaus trailing behind.

"Good evening, ladies and gentlemen. Waiters are coming around with champagne. I invite you all to join me in a toast. It provides me with no greater joy than to see my family together as one. I'd like to thank you all for being a part of this spectacular evening. Cheers!" Esther finished her speech as everybody raised their champagne glasses.
Ana raised her glass, glancing at the hybrid who raised his glass in return with a smirk. Stefan's eyes darted back and forth the two as he narrowed his eyes. Esther's face was plastered with a sly smirk as she watched her children drink the champagne. Elena was flooded with guilt as she made eye contact with Elijah. Damon was just furious as he woke up from his neck snap.

Ana stood outside the Mikaelson mansion as the cool breeze brushed out curly strands of her hair off her face. She wrapped her arms around herself, closing her eyes. So much had happened in just one night. She needed to be strong. Whatever happened to her family was wrong. What was worse, was that the witch spirits destroyed her life. She had to face so much pain because of them. Ana felt like a mistake, someone who was never supposed to be born.
She felt a warm coat on her shoulders as she turned around.
"You looked cold so I thought...." Kol sheepishly scratched the back of his head with a smile. Ana shook her head.
"Thank you Kol. I didn't get to talk to you earlier." Ana said with a smile as he grinned.
"So..no hug?" Kol asked with a grin as she hugged him tightly with a giggle. She definitely missed Kol and his childish behavior. She and Kol were best friends and she hated leaving him like that out of the blue.
"Well, we have time now. Darling, you have no idea how much I missed you. You could have at least looked for me. I'm hurt." Kol pouted like a small child, placing his hand on his heart.
"I know. I wanted to. But, things were...complicated. I'm sorry." Ana replied, releasing a breath.
"I'll forgive you if you let me buy you a drink tomorrow." Kol said, standing next to her.
Ana looked at Kol for a few seconds as he smirked.
"I know I'm handsome, darling. You don't have to make it so obvious." Ana scoffed and laughed.
"No, I have a teenage witch friend and I think you both will get along really well." Ana replied, thinking about Davina, who she had grown very close to.
"And why would you say that, darling?" Kol asked with a raised eyebrow.
"I taught her to play hard to get. It'll be rather amusing to watch you chase somebody who doesn't get affected by your charms." Ana said as he smirked.
"I'll take that as a challenge. Besides, witches love me. Except for those Claire witches. They are easy to anger." Kol stated with a scowl.
"Sure." Ana replied with a laugh.
