Nothing was difficult for Anastasia Blair. There was nothing she couldn't do. But, explaining her feelings to someone wasn't something she had done before. To say that she was nervous was an understatement. Her palms were sweaty as she nervously paced around the front door of the Mikaelson mansion. The doors opened to reveal Elijah with a small smile.

"Sorry, I could hear you pacing around from inside. Come in." He said and she gave him an awkward smile, following him inside. He gestured for her to take a seat in front of him on the couch. Elijah seemed to be in deep thought, contemplating his words. Ana mostly felt weird to talk to him alone after so many centuries because they weren't really friends. No bad blood, just lack of conversation.

After a few seconds, he spoke up realizing that Ana was staring at him expectantly to say something. "Thank you, Anastasia. You saved my family. Rebekah told us what you did. I know we are not the best of friends, but your courage is something that I always admired in you. It is your greatest strength, always carry it with you."

Anastasia nodded slightly uncertain. Was he giving her a goodbye speech or something? Did he just tell her that he admired her courage? She didn't even think that he had noticed her long enough to admire her courage as his attention was always glued to Katerina. He would only acknowledge her, no more. "Are you leaving town or something? Seems like you're saying goodbye."

He let out a small laugh and nodded. "Yes, I am. It turns out that there is still a white oak tree left that replaced the old one. Rebekah is going to find out about it tomorrow from the Mayor. I did have my suspicions over mother's intentions. But, I did not imagine she would try and kill us."

There was yet another white oak tree left and they were still linked as one. This sure was dangerous as if one would die, all of them would die. Anastasia noticed the betrayed look on his face. Memories of her death in 1864 flashed into her mind fresh like it was yesterday.

"I'm so sorry, Elijah. I was going to kill her but she got away." Ana said with sympathy. The lunatic wicked witch was out there and they were still linked. Elijah nodded with a little smile and stood up.

"My brothers are expecting you upstairs. I think you owe them an explanation." Elijah said, walking away and she nodded.

The fire crackled in the fireplace and the two brothers stared intensely at it, whiskey in one hand. Now, there was a new threat and they were at harm's way all the time. For once, they felt slightly afraid of death. All this while, their immortality was never something to doubt. There was only one Mikael, one white oak stake. And now they weren't. But now, a whole tree of white oak made them question their immortality. They could just die in their sleep. They were shook by their thoughts when Kol noticed the brunette leaning against the wall.

"Drink? I think I promised you one." Kol asked, offering her the glass in his hand. Klaus turned his head to see Ana standing there. She took the glass and gulped the amber liquid down without even flinching. She sat down in front of them and took a deep breath. She had a lot of things to say and didn't know where to start from. She didn't wanted sympathy, but secretly craved for comfort. That didn't mean she wasn't a strong woman. Anastasia anxiously balled her fist and released them continuously, something she did under stress. Klaus and Kol looked at her expectantly to say something. She sighed loudly.
