I stopped outside his house and i forgot how amazing it was. I parked my car on the curb and got out. I knocked slowly on his door and i see the passage light go on. He opens the door and he was just in joggers and no T-shirt.
"Come on in" he says.
I walk in and wait for him to lock the door then i follow him into his living room where his tv was playing music and his laptop was open. He takes a seat.
"Please sit down hals its not like you haven't been here before" he says.
I take a seat and i start to cry. I don't even know why well i do but i didn't think i would cry for this reason. Robert opens his arms and pulls me into him. My arms go around to his bare back and cuddle him closely while i let my tears out. None of us even talked for around ten minutes it was so peaceful.
My tears decided to stop so i pull away from him and he takes his hand in mine.
"Tell me what happened" he says,
"Well i went in and they were all in the living room so i told them that me and you weren't a couple but it was complicated. They all looked at me weirdly and shocked but my dad chucked me out. I was expecting him to be mad but not this mad. Not to chuck me out" i say wiping my tears.
"Im so sorry Hallie i am. Maybe he will calm down but for the time being you can stay here" he says.
"Thank you" i say.
"No problem. I dont think you have had food so wanna order take out?" He asks.
"I dont mind" i say.
"Chinese okay with you?" He asks.
"Perfect yeah" i say with a slight smile.
He gets up and phones the Chinese and then sits down passing me the tv remote.
"Im gonna grab blankets and things chose a film for us to watch" he says.
I nod and he leaves the room. Of course i chose what i always watch mamma Mia. Its my life saver. Robert came back downstairs and gave me a blanket. He sat down next to me and pulled me into him for a hug again.
"Im sorry again. I shouldn't have told you to tell your parents" he says.
"Its my choice to tell them. They were gonna find out sooner or later its no big deal" i say.
"Well come here" he says.
He leans into my lips and kisses me. It was passionate and he was on top of me laying on the sofa. I loved it I really did but all i could think about was my parents. I felt guilty i had argued well not argued but its complicated with my family and now i was kissing him. Luckily it stopped as the door bell went
"Get comfortable" he says with a smile.
I lightly smile back and he answers the door. He comes back and puts all the food on the table letting us chose what we wanted. We watched mamma mia and ate. I cuddled into a pillow and i loved every bit of mamma mia. After the first one finished we watched the second. Half way through i did feel my eyes start to drop off so i sat up.
"Rob i think im gonna go to bed i feel really tired" i say.
"Okay sweetie you can either have my room or the spare room" he says.
"You can have your room i will go into the spare room" i say.
"Okay. Follow me though you can borrow clothes to sleep in" he says.
He walks up to his room and i follow. It was freezing in his room i had to say. He went into his wardrobe and got out a pair of shorts and a tshirt for me.
"These might be a little big but these are the smallest i have" he says.
"Thank you" i say
"No problem if you need anything just ask im only downstairs" he says with a smile.
I walk into the spare room and change into the outfit.

I lay on the bed and i had to say it was freezing i felt cheeky asking for him to put the heating on though. I laid there for a good hour and i hear him walking upstairs to his room. I watched TikTok for a bit then i went downstairs. I grabbed my glass that i was drinking out of and filled it with water. I then walked to the back door and sat on the swing. I know i was complaining about being cold but it was relaxing.
"What are you doing out here i thought you went to sleep" i hear Robert say behind me.
"Hey" i say.
He sits next to me and places a hand on mine.
"Jesus hallie you are absolutely freezing. Come to my bed" he says.
Without saying anything he pulls me up and through the door locking it. He then takes me up thr stairs and we both get into bed. His body heat warmed me up as i cuddled into him.
"How come you couldn't sleep?" He asks.
"I overthink too much. All i keep thinking about is my dad chucking me out" i say.
"Dont overthink he will get over it. Have he texted you?" He asks.
"To be honest im not sure I haven't checked my messages" i say.
He gets out of bed and walks out and comes back around 2 minutes later with my phone in his hand he hands it over to me and smiles.
"See if he has texted you" he says.
I open up my message app and see i have a few texts.
Mum- hallie we are sorry. We shouldn't have reacted like that, come home tomorrow xx
Dad- we need to talk
Tom- i knew you were fucking mr downey but why didn't you say. Dad is pissed but upset that you actually left.
Paul- your mum asked if yoh were with me. Are you alright?x
Me to mum- i will come home Monday mum leave dad time xx
Me to dad- i know. See you monday
Me to tom- I didn't say because he could lose his job and i was dreading telling you all
Me to paul- yeah. I will see you tomorrow x
"Anything?" Robert asks.
I show him the messages and he frowns.
"Im sorry again hals" i say.
"Its okay" i say.
He pulls me into him again and gasps.
"Hals you are freezing why didn't you say" he says.
"Im fine" i say cuddling into him more.
I could hear his heartbeat and it was the most peaceful thing ever.
