I had started to get worried. Brayden would eventually find out that you don't know you're pregnant after a few hours. It took a good month.
I wasn't prepared to tell him the truth.
The dreadful knock came.
"Clair?" Brayden's soothing voice called.
I walk out of the bathroom and open the bedroom door.
"Clair, I know that you don't know you're pregnant after a couple of hours. I'm not a girl but I know." He smiles. "Tell me what happened."
I sigh. "About a month and a half ago, we were talking about our future. We were both drunk. We started out just kissing. Then it lead to sex. And now here we are a month and a half later."
He looks at me and smiles. "Clair, what I said last night. I didn't mean it. I will be with you. I will help. Screw college."
"Brayden, this is my fault." I whisper.
"No. It's both of ours. And I'm willing to take the responsibility." His grin keeps getting bigger.
"Brayden. What are you leading to?" I ask.
He puts his finger to his mouth and walks out. He comes back a few minutes later with a bouquet of roses and a box.
No he wasn't.
This wasn't happening.
I had always dreamed it would.
But we had just started officially dating.
"Clair." He grabs my left hand.
I look up at him.
He kneels down.
"Will you marry me?" He grins.
