What happens in the future

Ch-5 Revealing the future

(A/n: I forgot to mention but Ekansh is created by me, an imaginary cricketer who first came in ipl in 2017 in rpsg and played with mahi, then played in csk in 2018 under mahi and then made his debut in international cricket. So in 2018 instead of ipl being held from April to may, in this story it is held early. You can imagine whichever months but before April.)

Mahi decided to go out carefully just to see around. He wore a cap covering his eyes slightly and also tied a handkerchief around his face so that no one could recognize immediately and he would get time to run away.
He went out to see the hotel and his younger brothers after two years. As he was going he came across a room whose door was open and he could hear harry and ro's voices.
He glanced a little to see harry looking angry and pacing in the room.

"Again? He took him again? He has been taking that boy from one week."
"Calm down harry" ro said going towards harry and stopping him and making him sit on the bed.
"But this is so unfair ro, mahi bhai always stays with him talks to him and takes him out, he doesn't even talk properly with us."
"I know harry but it may just be because we did that prank on Ekansh, so he's just angry with us."
"Really ro? It was a harmless prank and he had started to tease kul first and we just retaliated. I don't know how he believed that we had actually drowned ekansh"
"Honestly harry i also don't know what's happening. He must have exaggerated to mahi bhai that's why bhai was asking us if we had drowned him for three minutes and that's why mahi bhai looked so angry with us."
"But he decided to believe him over us didn't he? I mean how can he? Doesn't he know us? i miss him terribly,ro, how much more time will we not be able to talk to him?"
"Harry don't worry it will be alright soon, i promise. He will soon realize that he should have believed us instead of someone else, till then it's better if we don't talk" ro said sounding sad.

Mahi who heard all this went from there quickly as he heard some footsteps from afar and went to the future mahi's room.
He thought about what he had heard and started to connect the dots in his mind.
What he had gathered till now was that the new boy, Ekansh may have teased Kuldeep and then some of the boys would have decided to play a prank on him. Because they were always protective for Kuldeep and looks like it didn't change and mahi was glad that it doesn't change even after two years.
Mahi knew the boys very well and if they are same that they are in his time, the prank wouldn't be so good, but it would be harmless.
Ekansh must have lied to his future self telling him that they have drowned him. Mahi decided that he should talk to the future mahi and find out more and tell him that they really can't do anything like this.

Mahi became determined to find out more from his future self when he came back and the relationship of him and Ekansh.

After some while the future mahi came back.
"I want to know now what has happened."
"About what?" The future mahi asked confused.
"Between you and seems like everyone."
"I told you, you can't ask questions."
"But i want to know, something's not right."
"And how do you know?"
"I overheard someone, now tell me"
"Who?"
"First you tell me about what has happened."
"Oh my god now i can see how much stubborn i can be" the future mahi said looking hesitant but finally giving up.
"It is nothing big i am just giving the boys a punishment for doing something wrong."

"What did they do?" Asked mahi first wanting to hear from his future self.
"Ekansh told me that he just teased kul, which he agreed he shouldn't have and then harry asked him how much time can he stay in water and when ekansh answered two minutes they drowned him saying that they wanted to see if he could hold his breath for three minutes. And you won't believe virat and rohit were also there and surprisingly even Bhuvi and they didn't stop harry and yuzi at all."

"They can never do something like this" mahi said instantly "what are you even saying?"

"I am saying right, they did do that."
"Did you talk to them, ask them?"
"I did and they all said that they just pushed him into the water."

"Then they would have just pushed him but drowning him into water for three minutes? That's just impossible."
"Ekansh told me that they did? Now why would he lie?"
"And why would they lie and how would they do anything like that specially with Bhuvi present there?"
"That's what I am thinking that how can Bhuvi let something like that happen."

"Bhuvi hasn't and neither anyone else has, i heard ro and Harry talking. They were alone so mind you they had no reason to lie and it seemed like they were hurt that you are not believing them and obviously they will. How can you not believe them?"

"Well why would ekansh lie?"
"And why would they. I don't understand why are you believing ekansh more than them?"
"Because i had asked ekansh one time how he feels here and he told me honestly that he doesn't feel welcomed and feels like sometimes he's alone and i have seen it with my own eyes that neither virat nor rohit look too fond of him."

"I am sure that that must be something else and even if there's a small chance that they don't like him, they would have never drowned him. Didn't you even think about that once?"

The future mahi sighed and shook his head "to be honest I didn't. But i don't understand then why would Eshank say something like that?"
"Maybe he just likes to exaggerate." Mahi suggested.
"No he isn't that kind."

"Then we should find out, you should go and try to confront him."
The future mahi nodded his head.
"I should go and thank you for opening my eyes, i shouldn't have been so angry on them without listening to them."
"Yeah well i am learning what not to do in my future which is good" mahi said smiling slightly.
"Do one thing call him here, i will hide somewhere" he added.

Future mahi nodded and dialed his phone to call him.
"He's coming in five minutes" mahi said putting down the phone and present mahi decided to hide somewhere.
