What happens in the future

Ch-7 Realization

After eshank went out and future mahi locked the room, the present mahi came out from under the bed.
"Do you believe him?" He asked.
"I think so. I was wrong before in believing him but this time i feel like he's speaking the truth. What do you think?"

"I also think he's speaking the truth."
Both of them got lost in their thoughts about what they should do now. Present mahi decided to break the silence.
"Why didn't you trust virat?" Mahi asked.

"I....i don't know" future mahi said.
"But i feel that you do know. I really want to know so that i don't repeat the same mistakes in my present. Don't you think it would be great if this could be avoided again?"

"It was because of stupid captaincy" future mahi answered at last.
"What do you mean?" Mahi asked looking at him.
"I leave captain in 2017 i won't tell you the month or date but i left it last year."
"And?" Mahi asked.
"Well it was my mistake, i wanted to protect virat from loosing any matches, i wanted him to win every odi and T20 possible and i didn't want him to taste the bitterness of a loss, so i didn't want him to take any wrong decisions which led to many fights. And well i dont know about him but i did feel us getting a little apart. We had constant fights about many things, though at the end we did manage to compromise. And for some reason I couldn't see how wrong i was to try to stop virat from taking any wrong decisions till now. It's now that i am realizing what made me trust someone else more than him.
In 2017 when eshank came for the ipl, i did see a little similarity between him and virat. He too had a hunger within him to win matches just as virat, even though it was less than virat it still was there and i just couldn't help but feel like that i was meeting virat again the first time. So i guess while virat and i were having fights, i felt closer to eshank and that's what made me trust him over others."

Present mahi stood their shocked after listening to all this. He didn't know that these much could happen in just one year.
"You should go to them and apologize to all of them specially cheeku" he said.
"I know but i am thinking that first we find out the culprit." Future mahi suggested "and then we can show the proof in bcci and make them sack the selector."
"Okay then let's make a plan" present mahi said. And they both started to think about how to find the selector who wanted to break ict.

A/n: sorry if this chapter is short and boring but i was trying from two three days but i wasn't able to come up with something good in this one. But i will try my best to write more good chapters next time.
