Lou's POV
I hear the door slide open and I take a big breath in knowing  that Zayn is standing behind me, I let the breath out as I turn to look at him.
" Hi Lou" He is the first one to breaks the silence.
I know if I say anything I am going to break, I am trying so hard not to give into all the emotions I am feeling .
In front of me stands my best friend,  Zayn was my  comrade in arm , the one that I did all the silly and stupid shit with, he knew my deepest secrets and all my dreams, I take in the sight of him ,he has changed a bit but not  to much.
" Zayn" I say as my voice cracks and I am in his arms crying , not just softly crying but big shaking sobs.
We cling to each other for what seems like hours saying nothing.
" Why? , Zayn, why didn't you come?, you knew I needed you, my mum died Zayn and you weren't there".
" I am so sorry Lou, I wanted to be there but I just couldn't".
" But  why? why couldn't you?".
I hear Zayn let out a big sigh until I hear him say " I think this is something I need to tell everyone, let's go inside and I will explain".
We walk back into the room and move over to the lounge to join everyone.
" Everything all right lads?" Liam asks.
" Zayn has something he wants to tell us all" I say sitting down next to Harry , who immediately wrapped his arm around my shoulder pulling me in close.
" Are  you sure Zayn?"Liam said looking at him intensely.
Zayn nods,  As Liam moves in close to him.
" I couldn't come to your performance because I was in hospital".
" What? why?" I hear myself ask.
I look at Zayn who has tears welling up in his eyes.
" Are you sure you want to do this?" I hear Liam ask again as I watch him wrap a arm around Zayn.
" Zayn, mate , you can tell us anything" Niall saids .
" I have always suffered really bad depression, especially after leaving the group, you guys were my whole world , then I was on your own".
" But Zayn, you chose to leave, it was your choice" I say.
" It wasn't his choice" Liam saids .
We all looked on with shock as to what we are hearing.
" What do you mean?" Harry asked.
" It was Simon, he made me leave, he was constantly on my back and in my ear telling me I wasn't good enough to be in the band, that I was a shit singer, that I didn't contribute enough that I was a troublemaker and the list goes on, it was Constant he never let up, he made me feel worthless".
" I am going to fucking kill him" I say getting off the lounge and pacing, "fuck".
" I can't believe this mate" Niall said " you should have told us".
" I couldn't, there were going to be Consequences if I said anything, I just couldn't, he said if I told you all he would finished the band , I wasn't going to be the reason you guys were left with nothing".
"  So instead you let us believe you didn't want to be with us anymore, I was really pissed off Zayn" Harry saids.
" I know Haz, I am so sorry, it was  just easier to let you believe that I was done with you all, But Haz , it wasn't true, you boys were my family".
" So we still don't know why you didn't come to the show?, why were you in hospital? " I say .
" Do you want me to tell them?" Liam's saids pulling Zayn in close, he shakes his head.
" I overdosed, I was in hospital because I tried to kill myself" Zayn saids as tears start streaming down his face.
" No , No  No you didn't , Zayn no" I screamed crumbling in front of Him , pulling him into my arm, we hold on tight to each other as we sob.
" This whole time we through you hated us, but in actually fact you were suffering more then us, I am so sorry Zayn" I hear Harry say.
I feel Harry's arm wrap around my back as he holds onto me, as I hold onto Zayn.
We eventually all sit back in silence, shocked of what we had all just heard.
"So Liam knew everything?" Niall asks.
" Yeah, you guys know we have always been close, I was there through it all".
" I am glad you had someone" Harry saids .
We spend the rest of the evening just talking about everything that happened and what we are going to for our reunion show.
" You guys know that we  are breaking our one direction contracts, we could get in some serious shit over this" Liam states.
" Fuck  that and fuck Simon" I yell " We are going to  do this our way, and If he causes any drama, we will threaten to go public with all the shit he put us all through".
" Hell  yes, lets do this mother fucker" Niall yells.
