“I love you too mom,” Sean said into his cellphone again, trying to get off it.
“I’ll see you guys tomorrow, sweetheart,” Sophia reminded him.
Tomorrow, his family was coming down for the baby shower that was happening the next day. Unfortunately, because Sean's father decided to get everyone's ticket late, all the earlier flights were book and they missed Thanksgiving dinner at Keira's parents house.Keira, for the lack of better words, was devastated that his mother wasn't going to be there when she saw her father again. She didn't know what it was about Sophia but she made her feel protected. It was the first time that she would be in her father's presence since she told him she quit. The rest of her family she kept in contact with.
Her father paid her no mind on Thanksgiving dinner. Richard acted as if Keira was invisible and it hurt her to the core. Her own father turning his back on his daughter snapped something in her and she went off.
As he sat there while eating, she yelled and ranted and could careless if he thought she was being disrespectful. Keira told him that he was being an idiot and unreasonable. Once again she threaten him if he kept it up he wouldn't be in his grandsons life.
You would think with a threat like that, the man would have some type of decency, be a man and apologize for his mistakes.
No...
Being the stubborn man that Richard Davis was, he continued to sit there and eat his meal while everyone else's appetite was gone out the window. His silence faltered when he told Keira that she could pick up her last check on Friday, since the office would be open because he didn't give everyone the day after Thanksgiving off.Keira had enough, took her plate and threw it across the room. Sean hadn't seen Keira so mad in... Never. She stormed out and he was right behind her.
Now, she couldn't wait to see Sean's mother and family in general. She was also glad that the rest of her family that she had not seen in awhile as well. All in all, it was going to be her day, Sean's too, and they were going to have a good time.
"Keira?" Sean called as he entered their home.
When he received no reply he decided to call her again. Keira came around the corner in just Sean's long white t-shirt. Just barely passing her mid thighs, she was beautiful. Her brown hair in a messy ponytail and her bare feet gracefully tapping the floor when she walked towards him. Was this what he would come home to every evening? If so, he couldn't wait till the days were finally over.
He looked down at her stomach, now eight and a half months round. She was beyond radiant and magnificent while pregnant, even if she thought differently. Keira walked up to him and wrapped her arms around his neck, giving him a small kiss.
“I’m glad you're finally home,” she whispered. Keira helped him out of his suit jacket and grabbed his hand.
Following her lead, he couldn’t help but to admire the perfect view of her ample ass. Even pregnant she still maintained his favorite part of her body. He reached out to grabbed it but Keira stopped him by pushing him down on the couch and sitting right to him.
“So tell me,” she told Sean.
Sean laughed. “Tell you what?” He asked.
“Come on,” Keira whined. “About your day? How was work?”
Sean knew where Keira was going with this. It wasn’t a surprise that just like every other night for the past couple months she would asked and beg for him to tell her how his day went. Or what was going on around Black Diamond. She loved that job and she missed working. She could deny it all day long that she didn’t miss working with her team and giving subscribers what they wanted and working with celebrities to do so, but Sean knew the truth.
