Glaring at Keira’s father, Sean shook his head. He didn’t understand why her father would be this way. It has been months and he still decided to be stubborn but him and Keira was not going to back down against him. He leaned against his desk and pulled out his phone to call Keira and waited for her to pick up.
“Miss me already?” Keira answered huskily.
“You left without giving me a goodbye kiss,” Sean teased her.
Richard stood still in the middle of his office, waiting on him to get off the phone. Sean knew that they didn’t have a meeting to go to and if they did, he didn’t need Sean. He only said that because he wanted his daughter off the premises, he knew Keira.“Goodbye kiss?” Keira questioned. “You're not coming home tonight? Because I had something extra special waiting on you.”
“You know I’m coming home, tonight,” Sean whispered into the phone. “I can’t wait.”
The whole time, Sean stared back at her father, Richard, who was giving him an evil glare. One day he would just have to come to terms with the fact that Sean was not leaving Keira whatsoever. Sean could feel and sense the steam rolling off of him.
“I don’t know. My fiancée might be home. And I don’t thin-”
Her screams was all that Sean could hear. The cry for help sent horrible chills down his spine. He stood at attention. Sean could tell that she dropped the phone and now he could hear muffled noises.
“Keira?!” He yelled through the phone.
That alarmed Richard as well and he was in front of Sean demanding answers at once. Sean ignored him and ran past him and all the other workers who were curiously glancing at him. He didn’t have time to answer Richard or anyone else's questions, the only thing he needed to do was get to Keira fast.
When he got to the elevator, Sean repeatedly pressed the down button to the garage. After a couple of seconds, he couldn’t wait any longer and dashed to the nearby stairs taking multiple at a time. When he got to the door he pushed it open and flew inside the garage. From the corner of his eye he say movement and abruptly turned his head, seeing a tall figure in all black run to the exit.
“Keira?” Sean screamed, but didn’t receive an answer.
There were too many cars to quickly find her car so he took his set of keys out and turned on the alarm. Dashing to the loud sound, he saw Keira on the ground, unconscious and in a pile of blood. His heart immediately dropped along with his knees as he inched over to her. Her body heavily bruised and lifeless.
“Keira!” He yelled. Pressing two finger to her neck to check for a pulse, he let out a small sigh of relief.
“Oh God, Keira?” Sean head snapped up to find her father standing inches away from him.
“Call an ambulance! Hurry!” He shouted.
While Richard was calling an ambulance, Sean looked down at Keira stomach and his eyes went wide when he saw blood gushing out. Using his hands, he rapidly put pressure on her stomach to try and stop the bleeding.
“Come on, Keira,” Sean cried. “Please wake up!” Richard went on his knees as well and helped Sean. It was hard to see his daughter in this condition but he had to help.
Moments later, an ambulance came , taking Keira out on a gurney and Sean right next to her. A EMT (Emergency Medical Technician) hit his hand on the back of the window, signaling the driver to speed off to the nearest hospital. Sean had never been so nervous in his life. Another EMT was tending to some of Keira’s bruises while the previous one was hooking her up to an IV and putting an oxygen mask over her nose and mouth.
