Valentines day special 2022

(Y/n)'s P.O.V.

I had decided right after my birthday that I would get Katsuki back for making me fly all the way around the city and on Valentine's Day I put my plan into motion. Ochako, and Ya-Momo, came by the house around noon and I answered the door.

"Hey girls what's up?"

"We know it's Valentine's Day and you probably have plans with Katsuki but we wanted to take you out because we love you to." Ochako said and I turned to Katsuki who smirked and waved his hand.

"We got plans later, I'll call shitty hair over or something." I was a bit surprised as to how fine he was with it but ran over to give him a kiss on the forehead.

"I'll be back in time ok? See you later."

"See you later babe." I left and got into the backseat of the car, poking my head through the two front seats.

"Alright, remind me of the plan again." Ya-Momo said and I smiled,

"He thinks we're gonna just have a low-key dinner tonight. Meanwhile I'm placing a reservation for a restaurant and our favorite winery and buying him an engagement ring. It's not really revenge but he has surprised me so many times that it's my turn."

"How cute!" Ochako gushed, "Deku unfortunately had to work today but we're going to go to the beach for the rest of the week."

"Shoto said he wanted to surprise me and was glad I had the chance to get out of the house." Yayorozu said and I smiled wider.

"You two have amazing partners."

"So do you! You know, when he's not being all explody." Ochako said and I snorted.

"He's gotten better since high school. You know, he doesn't chase after your husband anymore every time he sees him."

"True. But the two of them are still constantly at each other's throats."

"In a sort of friendly rivalry way though. Besides Ya-Momo, even you have to admit it's fun watching all three of our partners bicker like the rivals they are."

"True."

I finally finished setting up reservations over lunch with the girls and bought the ring before we headed to Ochako's house so I could get ready.

"Wonder what Katsuki's doing right now?"

"Probably getting ready to see you." Ochako said as she ran a brush through my hair and I grinned.

"(Y/n) do you mind if I check the reservations? I know they were confirmed but sometimes the restaurant makes last minute cancellations especially on days like this."

"Oh yeah, here's my phone." I passed over my phone and she handed it back as it buzzed.

"Bakugo's calling." I smiled and picked up,

"Hey babe."

"You gonna be home soon?"

"Yeah, the girls and I are gonna head back soon."

"Good, because I have something for you." He hung up and I laughed.

"This sneaky little bastard."

I made it back to our apartment and opened the door, realizing it was dark inside.

"Katsu? Are you home?" I opened the door a little wider just in case something was going on and the girls needed to help before turning on the light. Sitting on the dining room table was two plates of (favorite food) and Katsuki was leaning against the table.

"You gonna come inside and eat dumbass or are you just gonna stand in the door frame like an idiot?" I blinked in shock.

"Wait, I put in a reservation for..." I checked my phone and realized the reservation was canceled and that's when all the dots connected. "Ochako Midoriya, Momo Yayorozu you were in on this!?"

"Sorry! Have fun with your man!" Ochako yelled and the two of them drove off. I laughed and shook my head.

"Ugh, I was trying to surprise you for once. Guess the guy who read all the romance manga in high school is always gonna be one step ahead."

"Hey!"

"Don't deny it honey." I reached into my purse and pulled out the box, "Here. I wanted to get you one to since we were going to buy wedding rings together I felt it only fair you got an engagement ring as well." Katsuki opened the box and held up the golden band.

"You wanna do the honors?"

"Sure." I placed the ring on his finger and smiled. "You know, as practice."

"Leave it to you to be cheesy."

"You were cheesy first."

"Let's just eat the fucking food before it gets cold."

Bakugo reads romance manga and I will in fact use that to justify him being a bit out of character in these scenarios. Don't fight me on this.
