For This Love

It's a lovely and sunny morning with a little windy breeze that makes Jennie and Lisa's body more excited. Today is the day they have been waiting for - to marry each other.

Peaceful, vibrant and calming surrounding, all in one day for the couple. They arrived at the venue with smile on their faces. They waited for this moment. They fought for this time to happen. All they want now is to get married and be together for the rest of their lives. No one can stop them now.

"Jen, you go ahead. Our friends are probably waiting upstairs. I'll come right away once Mom and Dad are already here." Lisa has to wait for her parents at the lobby.

"Are you sure you will be fine here? Don't tell me you're escaping." Jennie teased her. Lisa laughed.

"I prayed for this moment, Jennie. We're getting married in Aa few minutes. Wait for me. I love you." Lisa gave her sweetest smile to the one she's destined to be with.

Jennie has been checking her watch from time to time. Her brother hasn't come yet too. She took her phone because it has been ringing since she got out of the elevator. She couldn't answer her phone right away because of their guests greeting her. The call stopped. It was her brother. She dialed V's number and he took it immediately.

J: Are you near?

V: Yes. But I'm afraid I will not be able to stop him. Jennie, listen to me carefully.

Jennie's having a hard time to start talking. Her body's beginning to feel some chills.

V: Before I left the house, I have heard Dad talking to someone, planning to shoot Lisa. I have been calling Lisa but she is not answering her phone. How come he knows about this?!

Damn. Lisa's phone is inside Jennie's bag.

V: Jen, I am still ten minutes away. Please warn Lisa now. And never go alone. Ask help from the security. I have called the police already.

If you are in a situation where you have to rush to save someone, why is it so challenging to move fast? Jennie proved us all wrong. She ran as fast as she can down to the lobby, not minding her tears and fears.

"Lisa!"

"Lisa! Oh, my god! Stop!" Jennie was screaming all over the place.

Everything went slow when the bullet reached the skin.

Jennie was held frozen by her own feet at the door lobby looking at the body lying on the ground with blood coming out from the chest.

"L - Lisa." She held her.

Lisa looked at Jennie with her shocked and traumatized face.

The couple only became conscious of what is happening around them the moment the policemen arrived and cuffed the shooter and when Lisa's Dad was taken inside the ambulance and brought to the hospital.

Lisa stayed quiet the whole time they are waiting inside the hospital. Jennie's at her side comforting her. It was already dark when the Doctor approached them about her Dad. He is stable now. The bullet was taken away from his chest. Good thing no organ from his body was reached. He just lost blood. The Doctor assured them that he will be awake soon and they have nothing to worry about.

"I am sorry. I am really sorry. Dad is behind this. I am sorry if a lot of things are really stopping us to get married, Lisa." Jennie's apologizing with tears running down her face.

Lisa just pulled her shoulder closer to her and hugged her so tight.

"Don't say that. I think we are really not meant to get married yet. But this is hurting me already, Jen. This is already about my Dad and yours. I was the target. My Dad blocked the bullet right away." Lisa in her cold voice that implies something.
