Would've written earlier but I forgot my computer at home and I write during school. Also I will be posting everyday now till 4th march.

10k's pov.

We were in a house. Since everyone was tired we had to find a spot where to sleep. Both leaders of my team were in the kitchen making coffee and planning I suppose. Addy and Mack were doing whatever they were upstairs. Doc and Murphy were playing cards in the living room with me. Cass was sleeping on the couch right across me. Kai went upstairs. She said she needs a moment for herself and that she will look for new clothes.

It looked like she was upset about something but I figured out it's just because she is tired. I doubt that anyone in our team is the reason behind her sadness.

Cass started to shift in her spot. Her blanket had slipped off her shoulders. As I got up to go and pull her blanket back up Kai walked downstairs.

She had some cargo pants that looked a bit loose around her waist but her old belt kept them in place. She was still wearing her old army boots. She wore black leather jacket with red accents over her oversized t-shirt. And on top of that she had a baseball hat that could shield her eyes from the sun. Her hair was somehow dyed blood red and was pulled up in a ponytail that was pulled trough the back of her hat so it stayed in place. Honestly I had no idea how she colored her hair but it suited her.

As she stepped down she looked around to all of us and weakly smiled. She had red puffy eyes meaning that she had cried. I immediately walked towards her and pulled her in a hug. I think that the hug surprised her but she hugged me back. I kissed her temple as I pulled away. She looked up at me and smiled again.

3rd person.

[Murphy] "You know if we breed those two, it'd be all over for the zombies..." He said as Doc laughed.

[Kai] "Good luck with that. I aint no good with kids." After she said that there was silence. She just looked around and spoke again.

[Kai] "What? I hate kids!" She shook her head and went to look for something to read.

Once she found a book she sat in the corner of the room and started reading.

After some time Warren and Garnett came running in the house. They told everyone to grab their stuff and immediately leave.

As everyone were getting in the car Kai received a few looks her way because she had changed her appearance a bit. She looked perfect for apocalypse.

Kai's pov.

When I woke up we had stopped for a moment because the road was split up into 3 ways. We chose the one that went to 'Castle point'. Warren was kind of hesitant so I figured that she had memories that were tied with this place.

"Woah look at that storm coming in." Addy pointed to something. I looked over and the sky was colored ugly puke color.

"Welcome home Roberta." Garnett said as everyone got back into the car. I just sat there in silence and zoned off.

I was zoned off until I felt someone shaking my foot. I blinked a few times and looked at the person: Addy. I smiled at her and got out of the truck.

We were in the driveway of a house. It didn't look old so I guessed that the house has been built only 10-15 years ago. I looked over to Warren and she looked a little sad but she led us towards the house.

Turns out Warren used to live here. Her husband was a firefighter pre-z. She hoped that he would be waiting there for her but the house was empty.

I took a look around and noticed that some things had a lot of dust on them and some didn't. As I turned back Warren was shouting at Murphy for sitting in her husbands favorite chair.

I went deeper in the house to look around and I found an empty room. I went inside and closed the door after myself. I slumped against the door and landed on the ground with a thud. I knew that the team heard it.

For my luck no one came to check up on me. I stood up and looked around. There was a neat bed in the middle of the room. There were two other doors and I suppose one led to the closet and the other to the bathroom. One of the doors had a mirror on it and I looked at my reflection.

I looked dangerous. Honestly I had no idea what 10k saw in me that made him fall for me. I smiled at the thought that he actually liked me. I felt powerful in some way.

I went to sit down on the bed as I hear someone knock on the door. I stood up and went to open the door. Right as I was abut to open it I heard muffled voices. There were two people. I couldn't really tell who was there but there is only one way to find out.

I opened the door and the two voiced belonged to Cass and 10k. Cass spoke up first.

"Warren wants us to go gather any materials we can find. You are coming with us." I just nodded as I exited the room closing the door behind myself.

"By the way you look dangerous." I heard a voice down the hall and looked over. It was Warren and she winked my way as she went outside with Garnett. I just giggled and led the two out the door.
