3rd person.

The team had stopped somewhere for a bathroom break. Everyone was looking at Murphy who was in the field by the main road and doing hiss stuff. They discussed some things that they would do and other options.

[Addy] "No Z's in sight."

[Doc] "Anyone else worried about Mr. Sunshine out there?"

[Warren] "I know."

[Garnett] "He's looking worse."

[Cassandra] "Yeah he was pretty creepy to start with."

[Addy] "Come on, guys. Give him a break. It's the apocalypse. None of us look our best."

Everyone instantly looked at Kai who now was confused. The team knew that her new outfit was better that any other outfit they have seen in the apocalypse.

[Addy] "It's like one long bad hair day."

[Mack] "Speaking of hair. What's with all the bald patches?"

[Doc] "Maybe the vaccine is like zombie chemo."

There was a small moment of silence and Kai decided to break it.

[Kai] "Or maybe that vaccine isn't working."

Warren gave Kai her 'you better shut up' look and Kai just giggled.

[Warren] "What do you think Doc?"

[Doc] "I've seen Z's look better than him."

[Warren] "Will he make it to California?"

[Doc] "If we haul ass."

Doc said as he shrugged his shoulders.

[Garnett] "If he goes zombie, we might need to put him down."

After Garnett had said that two voices spoke up.

[Kai and 10k] "Dibs on piking him!"

They both looked at each other and Kai pulled up one eyebrow with a small smirk. They both slid into small arguing about who will get to pike Murphy if he turns. Garnett grew annoyed and went to calm them down.

After both kids were calm Garnett went back to the original conversation. 10k and kai still shared some angry looks but the team knew that they won't be mad at each other for long. Oh how wrong they were.

Warren announced that pit stop's over and everyone got into the car. Kai was on the left side of the truck's bedding and 10k was on the other. They didn't look at each other, nor talked.

Warren grew a bit worried about them both until they reached their destination. Garnett was relieved that Province Town still was going full power.

As he stopped the car he heard a woman's voice telling them to turn around and and leave. He got out of the car to explain everything. The rest of the team had a muffled conversation.

[Addy] "Surrender all weapons? Are they serious?"

[Warren] "Looks like. Their town, their rules."

Garnett came back and explained the situation. He said that they can go inside but the truck has to stay outside. Everyone got out of the car grabbing their stuff. The team had their guards up high and Warren tried calming them down.

[Warren] "Easy everyone. Charlie's got it under control."

It backfired as Murphy spoke up

[Murphy] "So you are calling him Charlie now?"

[Warren] "Yeah, and I'm gonna start calling you 'my bitch' if you don't shut up."

Murphy instantly went quiet and gave her a 'sorry' look.

Everyone gathered behind Garnett as he shared some last words with Wiliams.

[Wiliams] "All right. Come inside and tell me your story. We'll get you some food."

Everyone followed him to the place where they can check in their weapons. Wiliams explained that there had been a few times where weapons turned out to do no good. Everyone else had checked in their weapons except Cassandra, 10k and Kai.

It was Cassandras turn and she just gave them her knife. Next up was 10k. He just kept piling hiss weapons until he was done. The woman who was the one to receive the weapons looked at him with worried eyes. 10k's facial expressions didn't even change for a second. As he went forward to go trough the metal detector it started beeping and he stepped back. He reached in his pants and pulled out a chain. The team gave him a confused look and he just smirked.

Last one was Kai. She Placed her sniper on the table. Next went her two handguns that she had in her backpack, then went a revolver that had been sitting behind her belt loop. Next up was her army knife along with three other kinds of knives. She unstrapped her machete from her belt and placed it on the table too. The team thought that it but they were wrong she still had some stuff. She then bent a bit lower to unstrap her throwing knives from her thigh and looked up at the woman who took care of the weapons. She looked scared and at the same time proud that a woman knew how to use these all.

Before stepping through the metal detector she looked at her team and Garnett looked surprised. He knew that 10k had a few weapons but not as much as Kai. As Kai went trough the gates there was a moment of silence. She just sighed and went off somewhere.

Kai's pov.

As I left the team standing there I had a weird gut feeling. I always trusted that feeling because it never proved me wrong.

As I was about to disappear I saw three people around my age at the gate calling for the Major Wiliams. I ignored them and continued walking.

I knew that Warren or Garnett will send someone to go look for me because this wasn't the first time I went somewhere without telling them.

As my suspicion came real 10k ran up to me. I didn't stop or look at him, I didn't even speak. I kept walking until I felt him grab my wrist and pull me to a stop. I looked at him and he looked sad like he had done something.

"Listen I'm sorry for arguing with you. You can pike him if you want when it's time." He said as he pulled me into a hug. I resisted for a moment and slowly wrapped my arms around him.

"Nah we can pike that Smurf together." I said as I pulled him closer. He just giggled and kissed the top of my head. I had a hat on but still it felt like I didn't even have hair.

As he pulled away I looked up at him and he was smiling now. I was kind of relieved that this argument is over. I didn't want to lose him that easily.

As I was about to completely pull away he pulled me back closer and kissed me. I didn't hesitate and kissed back.

It went on for a couple of minutes until we heard a voice calling us. We pushed away from each other and the caller was Garnett. He called us because we could go get some food.
