𝐒𝐲𝐝𝐧𝐞𝐲 𝐃𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐲

Sydney Darcy, also known as the kook princess, did indeed live on figure eight. She had moved to the island 3 years ago, instantly making friends as she was known to be the 'newbie' and the 'new attraction' in outerbanks. She moved to the island with her dad and nana as they all needed a fresh start away from their home town in New York. Although Sydney was a kook, she spent the majority of her time hanging out with the pogues, the friends she soon made at the first ever kegger she went to.

Her dad, Dean Darcy, has been a deputy in the police department for 2 years now. He has always dreamed of becoming a cop, wanting to help people and do the best he can to make a difference. Dean has never cared about the whole 'kook vs pogue' thing, infact... he has always preferred the people from the cut, even though he would never say it out loud.

Her nana, Paula Darcy, also known as Nana Pauline, moved to the island with her son and granddaughter. The reason she moved is because her husband, Henry Darcy, had unfortunately passed away, leaving her, Dean and Sydney heartbroken. She thought it would be a good idea to move away from her home town, so she wouldn't dwell on her past for too long, although she still missed her husband dearly.

The family owned the largest house on figure eight, known to be the wealthiest family on the island. As Henry Darcy passed, Paula ended up getting his savings which was a lot since he was a very wealthy man. He was known to be one of the best scientists in New York, being able to calculate equations in his head in the fastest time possible, proving to also be the smartest man in their home town.

Although Sydney spent most of her time with the pogues, she also became very good friends with Sarah Cameron. When Sydney first arrived, Sarah showed her around school and made sure she wasn't sat alone at lunch on her first day. She also got to meet Sarah's boyfriend Topper, her brother Rafe and their friend Kelce.

Sydney did find it hard though, being friends with Sarah and Kiara, feeling caught in the centre of their feud. Kiara would constantly rant on about Sarah, trying to get Sydney to agree with her, but she never would. She couldn't talk bad about any of them as they were both her friends, and she would never talk badly about her friends as she classed them as family.

Nana Pauline did start off working in a local cafe in figure eight, making drinks and scones for the customers as she also used to work behind the counter. She then got offered to buy the cafe as the owner was ready to retire. Now Paula owned the little cafe and that's where the pogues would often go as they saw Nana Pauline as their own.

"And that's Sydney, she's like the kid of the group. She's as reckless as JJ but the only difference is, she's more smart about it. Honestly, I'm surprised we haven't got a leash for her yet, we turn around for one second and she's gone, off doing some stupid shit. But then again, I can't deny that she's the most caring in the group. If there's ever something going on with someone, she would always be the first to be there for them.
