"Yeah whatever, I somunly swear not to do coke again" Sydney sighed as she was walking back from the chateau to Nana Pauline's cafe with JJ by her side.

"I mean it, Syd. That shit fucks you up" JJ stated as he pointed a finger at her. "If you ever do it again-" He began.

"I get it, JJ. I won't do it again. I'm not going to become a drug addict" Sydney scoffed, cutting him off as they made it to the cafe. "Are you sure John B informed Nana about the sleepover".

"Yeah, it'll be fine. Just act normal" He shrugged.

"Nice pep talk, JJ. Real smooth" Sydney scoffed as they walked in through the door, hearing the bell above them ring, letting Pauline know that someone had entered.

"Hey Sydney, JJ" She smiled as she made her way to the front counter from the kitchen round the back. "Did you have fun last night?".

"Yeah, it was alright" Sydney shrugged with a small smile, sitting down at the nearest table with JJ following. "Did the cafe do okay during the hurricane?".

Nana Pauline walked out from behind the counter, holding a notepad and pen as she made her way to their table. "Well it's still in one piece, so yes".

She cleared her throat before speaking up again. "Welcome to Lunch&Brunch what can I do for you today?" She announced in a humorous tone.

"We've already had this conversation Nana, it should be Scones for Morons" Sydney scoffed as she leant back in her seat.

"I can't call my cafe 'Scones for Morons' Syd, I wouldn't get any customers" She chuckled, shaking her head at her granddaughter as she turned to JJ. "What would you like?".

"I'll have one of your finest coffee's made with fresh coconut milk, layered with cream and mixed in with some caramel" JJ cleared his throat, putting on a posh accent.

"So a caramel latte?" Pauline inquired with a slight chuckle.

"Nah, I was kidding. I'll just have some of that cake over there" He informed as he pointed over to the glass cabinet which held a victoria sponge cake.

"I'll have a regular coffee please" Sydney added as her Nana pretended to write it down before placing the pen behind her ear.

"I'll be right back, thank you" She chuckled mockingly as she took away the menu and walked back over to the counter.

"What you thinking about?" Sydney inquired as she gazed at JJ, watching him tap his finger on the table in an anxious way.

"Nothing" He smiled faintly before diverting his eyes to where Nana Pauline was cutting the cake.
