I was sure of it. I wouldn't survive a week with this man. No, what was I saying, a day. I wouldn't survive a day. Honestly, I'd be thankful if I could still breathe tonight.
Maybe Namjoon would let me sleep in his office. I could lie on the floor. I wouldn't mind. I probably wouldn't be able to walk up the stairs or climb on top of his furniture anyway. The floor sounded nice. Everything sounded nice now.Well, everything, except for training more.
'Are you tired already?'
'How are you still speaking normally?' I managed to breathe out, making him giggle. Jungkook - once you got to know him a little, and he became less shy around you - was a very happy, very energetic, very strong man. I now fully understood the things Jin had said to me this morning, and I wondered how hard he'd laugh at me after this.
'You'll get used to it! You're doing great!' Really, Jungkook? Great? I didn't know if he actually meant it, or if he was just saying it to motivate me. I couldn't even care - I simply didn't have the strength for it.
'One more set. I promise.'
'Only one?'
'Only one. Twelve more times, come on.'Just at that moment, Namjoon walked in, wearing a very form fitting tank top and shorts. I looked at him - and his clearly toned body - and wanted to smile, but really couldn't. Maybe this'd be the perfect moment to ask him if it was okay if I would just stay in his office, or somewhere down here, tonight.
'How are things going here?'
'She's doing really well for her first time!' Namjoon looked at me and clearly had to try hard to hold back a laugh.
'Maybe you should go a bit easier on her, Jungkook. Her face is about to explode.' That's just great. Was he making fun of me? If there was one thing I couldn't stand, it was that.'Don't worry, I can do it. One more set, right?' I looked up at Jungkook, determined to show that muscular dimple man that I could, in fact, take whatever Jungkook was throwing my way.
And after that, I'd crawl up the stairs, take a shower and probably pass out.
Jin indeed burst out laughing as soon as he saw my face when I came upstairs. All the way from the gym to the kitchen, Jungkook'd been talking about how well I did - which I highly appreciated - and about how he thought I was in way better shape than any kind of vegetable. It made me happy to hear how pleased he was, even though my arms and legs felt as if they could fall off any second now.
'How was your training?'
'Hyung, she did so well!' Jungkook said excitedly, smiling. I was glad it at least made him happy, and - secretly - I was also happy for not giving up. Maybe I wasn't a cauliflower after all. Maybe it was more like, a carrot.
'How sore are you?' Jin looked at me, clearly amused.
'I feel just fine, thank you.' I was very sure Jin didn't believe a word of that, but my pride kept me from telling him the truth, which was that I was pretty sure I felt pain in places that I previously didn't know existed. Besides, I didn't want to ruin the good, happy mood of Jungkook. His eyes had been sparkling from the moment I walked into the gym, and I'd quickly grown to love that sparkle. There was no way in hell I was going to risk that sparkle going away by saying I felt as if I wouldn't be able to get out of bed the next day. Then again, there was a fair chance he'd just laugh at that.
'Next time, we'll do some boxing!' Jungkook excitedly said before running up the second flight of stairs, probably to go shower and change himself.
'Want some water?'
'Yes, please.'Jin got up, pouring me a glass of nice, cold water. I drank it as soon as he handed it to me, the glass being empty in less than a minute.
'I told you it'd be rough, but no, you wouldn't listen.' He smiled at me. 'You should take a shower before your muscles get cold.'
'Did you ever have to train like that?'
'Are you kidding? I trained with Namjoon. That's worse.'
'Is training with him more intense than with Jungkook?' I couldn't believe what he was saying. Yes, I'd seen Namjoon in his work out clothing, and yes, the man clearly had a good body hidden under that fabric, but I found it hard to believe that there were people out there that trained harder than Jungkook did.
'Well, no, but Namjoon is clumsy. Seriously, your lifespan automatically shortens when you're next to him.' He laughed at his own comment, and even though he might've been joking about it, I made a mental note to myself about it. Namjoon: dangerously clumsy.'Good afternoon.' A very sleepy voice sounded behind us. We both turned around, curious to see who it was. A very sleepy-looking Jimin raised his hand to us, walking directly to the fridge after.
'You look like you just woke up.' He looked at me and nodded.
'I did. I went to bed around six in the morning.' Jin shook his head.
'Youra, you go take your shower. I will take care of this one.' I nodded and walked to my room to get some clothes. After a nice, warm and needed shower, I decided to offer Jin to help with dinner, which he gladly accepted. Jimin had woken up a little bit, munching on some melon that he had - without a doubt - probably gotten from Jin. He seemed to enjoy it, which made me smile.
'Okay, what can I do?'
'I'll take care of slicing. Can you wash the spring onions?'
'I'm on it!' Without any hesitation, I picked up the spring onions Jin had already taken out of the fridge, washing them carefully, making sure there was no dirt hidden anywhere. I noticed Jin kept an eye on me while slicing onions himself. He didn't seem to disapprove.Jimin also seemed to notice.
'You guys are cute.'
'Hmm?' We both looked at the younger guy, who was - once again - nibbling on a piece of watermelon.
'You're both cute. Cooking. Like that.' I just looked at Jin, not knowing how to respond to something like that, but he clearly didn't have any issues with that. Instead, he just smiled, brought his hand to his mouth and threw a kiss in Jimin's direction, who just started laughing, almost falling off his chair. That evening, after dinner, most of us were watching a movie upstairs when Namjoon walked in, picked up the remote and turned the television off. All eyes immediately pointed in the direction of the so-called leader - even Yoongi's, who had been focussed more on his phone than on whatever was happening on tv for the past half an hour. When Taehyung got up to protest, Namjoon just raised his hand to him, signalling him to be quiet.
"We've got one. Pack your stuff, we're leaving in ten."
