The group had closed off Hotland while repairs were conducted. Alphys wanted to run some tests afterwards, but for now, they waited for Sans to repair the C.O.R.E. As soon as Sans had manually restarted the C.O.R.E, he shooed everyone back to Waterfall. After, he went on the search for that spare fiberglass windowpane. He knew it was it one of the supply closets down here somewhere. Thing was, there was a lot of different supply closets for a lot of different areas of the C.O.R.E. "how hard is it to find one window? who was the last person down here anyway, where did they put it.." Sans grumbled to himself as he searched the supply closet that was SUPPOSED to be for the control sector of the place. He'd found the tools, but the freaking window was nowhere to be seen. "I suppose I'm a little at fault for the misplaced window, I wanted to see if I could use it for another project." Sans jolted, looking around for that voice.. he knew that voice.. "heh... well, if ya misplaced it, where is it..?" If he could hear it again.. "... sector 3, the security area.."

Sans turned to the darkness of the room. A single stark white blob against pitch blackness. He knew what it was... he knew who it was... he just didn't want to believe it. "so... this isn't a dream, is it? cause i'd really like for this to be a dream right now. it's bad enough i absorbed the c.o.r.e-" He stopped. "right... i absorbed the c.o.r.e... this makes more sense then.." He sighed. "great.." He turned to walk away. "Wait!" Gaster caught his arm, or tried to anyway, but he didn’t technically exist on this plane, so he went right through him. "that brings on a whole new meaning to the joke.." Sans grumbled. "whatdya want doc, i'm trying to fix the c.o.r.e here.." He turned back to the black mass with a head. "... how'd you do it?" Sans gave a shrug. "i don't know, if that's all, i'll be leaving now." Sans did, blipping to the sector three storage closet. He was satisfied to finally find the window he was looking for and took his necessities to the control room. "'m gonna half to rebuild most of the rooms here now.."

"Will it not repair itself upon the next reset?" Gaster asked as Sans installed the new window. "will you not follow me?" Sans shot back. "Look I know I've done a lot of terrible things-"
"nope. not dealing with your self pity. i'm just not very keen on the idea of being followed around by a nonexistent thing that's the stuff of nightmares." Sans glanced at the startled and less than pleased skeleton blob. "in answer to your question, no. it won't. the power of reset and the power of the c.o.r.e kinda... cancel each other out? sorta? they are both massive power sources so reset won't affect the c.o.r.e and the kid can't perform reset in the c.o.r.e facility either." Gaster looked intrigued. "How do you know this? Have they tried before?" Sans shrugged as he started to tear apart the panel and see if any of it could be salvaged for a new one. "i don't think they have, i just... know."
"Perhaps a knowledge gained from the C.O.R.E then? You and it are connected now."
"maybe.. i guess it makes sense. the c.o.r.e is like a blaster. they aren't sentient, but they have a drive to keep them functioning.."
"You don't need to tell me this, I built it."
"and fell in it, obviously i do." Sans pointed out.
