Shoto tried again to get up, and with the help of the wall he was able to. But as soon as he did, his body seized up, he suddenly had a headache and then...

He fell to the ground.

Everything felt fuzzy and blurry as Shoto's body jerked over and over again. He had no idea what was going on. One moment he was training with his father and the next his on the ground jerking repeatedly.

There was a foal taste in Shoto's mouth like burnt rubber, he could feel something wet run down his cheek.

Shoto's skin was as pale as snow, he broke out in a cold sweat as he continued to jerk. His head hit the ground repeatedly causing him to wince every time it did.

Eventually everything went black and Shoto stopped moving.

When shoto woke up again, he felt exhausted. What happened? Shoto thought as he attempted to sit up. But as soon as he did, his head throbbed and he immediately lied back down on his futon. Wait, wasn't I in the training room just a second ago?

Shoto turned his head slightly to look around the room, and was surprised to see his father sitting on the ground beside his futon. " Ah, you awake." Endeavor said, turning to look at his son. " Now, what was that?!" Endeavor boomed, causing Shoto to flinch. What is he talking about? Shoto thought, Why is he angry at me? Shoto went over the course of the day to see what he might've done to anger his father. Was it going out with his friends? But how would Endeavor know about that?

Shoto racked his brain for a clue to what happened. " Answer me boy!" Endeavor yelled when his son had not answered. " I-I'm s-sorry I'm not really sure what you t-talking about." Shoto stuttered.

" Don't play dumb, you know what happened. And you're going to explain to me what you did."

Doesn't he understand I don't know what happened?!

" Can you just, please tell me what's going on?" Shoto begged, attempting to sit up again, but layed back down when his head throbbed again. " Why do that when you already know?!" Endeavor yelled, slamming his fist on the floor. " B-but I d-don't!" Shoto yelled, desperately. Endeavor scoffed, " You know I hate liars, Shoto."

" I'm n-not lying!"

Endeavor stood up, walking to the door, " In an hour we're training again, extra long to make up for the time we lost."

With that, Endeavor slammed the door shut. What the hell was that? Shoto thought, sitting up ignoring the throb in his head. Shoto grabbed his phone from his bag and set an alarm for 7:45, so he could have fifteen minutes to prepare before training.

Shoto lay his head on his pillow, exhaustion pulling at his eyelids. He allowed it to pull him into a restless sleep.

Shoto woke up again to the sound of his alarm, blaring loudly. Making his head hurt more than it already did. Shoto quickly shut it off, sighing with relief when the noise stopped.

Shoto slowly got up from his bed, and stretched. For anyone else doing that may have them whimpering from the pain, but shoto was used to it all, stretching with injuries was no problem for him. Of course that's not a flex, it just goes to show how abusive Shoto's dad is. It shows how much he's used to pain.

Shoto left his room and went down to the training room, where his father was waiting.

He always expected shoto to be early.

" Good you're here, next time be quicker." Endeavor said, his voice surprisingly calm. "Yes sir." Shoto said obediently. Endeavor suddenly threw a bunch at Shoto who just barely doged. " Be faster Shoto!"

Shoto didn't say anything, he was exhausted, even after he slept. He felt as if he hadn't slept in two days. Another punch came at him, this time catching him off guard. Shoto was flown to the wall creating a big dent as he crashed. Endeavor came at him again, kicking over and over again. Punching him over and over again. It felt never-ending. Shoto could feel the blood seep into his clothes staining it a sickly red. Breathing was getting harder, as Endeavor continued to assault his child. Punching and kicking him repeatedly. Shoto had the worst headache of all time, and he was tired. He wished he could turn back time to when he was hanging out with his friends, eating ice cream and laughing.

Funny how things can change so quickly. One moment your hanging with your friends eating ice cream for the first time, and the next your father is beating you senselessly. Why did life have to be so cruel. Why was Shoto's life like this? Why did he have to get beat, why did he have to go through this? Why... Why... Why...

Shoto's mind repeated this like a mantra, Why.. Why... Why... Why?

" Stand up shoto use your fire now!" Endeavor commanded, after he was done kicking Shoto. Shoto struggled to his feet, his legs wobbly. " Use your fire!" Endeavor yelled. Shoto did so, but as soon as he did a huge flame burst from the palm of his hand causing him to yelp in surprise. " Control it Shoto!" Endeavor yelled over the crackle of the flame. But he couldn't, he couldn't control. It was as if the little control he had over his fire had completely left.

What the hell is going on?!

Shoto managed to stop his fire before it engulfed any of his house. Shoto sighed in relief when the fire was gone. His breathing was fast and erratic and his eyes showed panic. "What was that?!" Endeavor yelled, " What happened to your control?!"

" I-I don't know it-it just disappeared." Shoto stuttered staring down at his left hand.

" Nothing just disappears, Shoto!" Endeavor hissed. " Use your ice, lets see what happens." Endeavor ordered, crossing his arms. Shoto lifted his right arm and hesitantly made ice. Shoto noticed it was harder to reach for his ice, which was weird since he had been training his ice for years now. Shoto attempted to throw Ice at the wall, but it came out smaller than he intended. Shoto stared at his hands dumb founded. " YOU LOST CONTROL OF YOUR ICE TOO!" Endeavor roared. " LET ME GUESS ARE GONNA FORGET HOW TO TALK NOW?!"

" I'm s-sorry, I don't kn-know what's w-wrong." Shoto whimpered. " I think I know." Endeavor growled, " I think it was that damn seizure you had. Ever since you had that stupid thing you've been acting strangely."

Wait, I had a seizure?!

" Wait what-" Shoto tried to ask about the seizure but his father cut him off.

" Stop pretending that you don't know what I'm talking about!"

" B-but I really d-dont!" Shoto yelled, tears were now running down his cheeks.

" Stop crying, you have nothing to cry about, but the fact that you failed me, and you're just a stupid failure like your siblings."

Shoto's mouth gaped, his father had never said that to him. In his father's eyes he had never been a failure, he had always been his masterpiece. But now, he was a failure.
